Tommy Mel's — Restaurant in Murcia

My criticism is with constructive intent… though I will admit it may not read that way.

First point of attention, the menus are old, worn, barely legible and need to be cleaned. Second point of attention, this is supposed to be an American diner so where were the condiments and serviettes on the tables? We were not even asked if we wanted any. If this is American themed then it is best to serve American Condiments, not Helios products in a Heinz container.

The main issue that needs to be addressed is the quality of the food and the prices charged. These do not match. All the food was reheated or fried from frozen. Either that or precooked and kept warm. This is not acceptable to the prices asked. It is not difficult or demanding to cook freshly prepared ‘fast foods’ and that is where the prices charged should be reflected. As this is not the case it is dishonest to serve frozen foods or reheated pre-prepared packet food under premium prices. If we had wanted that we would have gone to Aldi and bought their frozen American style products.

Further, nearly all the food was luke warm at best except the onion rings.

The worst of the order was the chicken and waffles. This was evidently NOT fresh and NEVER has any self respecting American served half a breaded chicken breast cut again in half and then served between two halves of a single dessert sugar waffle with… caramel sauce??? It should be maple syrup! Even the chips that came with this were only just warm and unfortunately looked like they were scraped off the plate another diner may have left (sorry but that is how it looked) Presentation is still key among everything and that is what is being paid for. It is not advanced neuro surgery or quantum physics.

The question therefore has to be asked, where is the quality and standards? Additionally, you have a direct competitor American grill right next door, have you given up? Even the atmosphere was only there because of the other customers present.

I must advise any American friends if you visit this shopping mall; please do not witness this affront to your famous and loved cuisine. As Dionne Warwick would sing…...

Absolutely awful, had to send food back because it was cold even the chips were cold! The chicken cesar salad consisted of a very small amount of lettuce, 2 x cherry tomatoes cut in half, one tiny slither of chicken and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese for a horrendous price of €11.95, even that had to be returned as I have an allergy and asked for no bacon (translated to Spanish on Google translate so was understood) had to return as brought out with bacon 😖 meatballs and spaghetti another disappointment consisted of 4 tiny meatballs all raw in the middle! and a little bowl of spaghetti (Childs size portion) for again €12.95 Mum and dad had a toasted BLT with chips which had to be returned as was stone cold, even when brought back it was only just warm! In a nutshell give this place a miss, spend your money elsewhere, even McDonald’s would have been more appealing than the muck that was dished up at...

Fuimos a cenar 9 personas el dia 04/01/2025. No nos sentamos muy convencidos , ya que de todos los restaurantes del centro comercial era en el que solo habian 4 personas sentadas. Pronto entendimos porque. Primero tardaron como 15 minutos en sentarnos porque aun siendo las 22.30h de la noche , ya nos decian que la terraza estaba cerrada que era el unico sitio donde habian mesas con espacio suficiente para sentarnos los 9. Una vez sentados , sin tiempo ni siquiera para quitarnos los abrigos , la chica que nos sentó sin moverse ni un centimetro de al lado de la mesa con las cartas en las manos y cara de pocos amigos, insistio en varias ocasiones en que le dijeramos lo que ibamos a tomar , a lo que le respondimos que nos diera tiempo a sentarnos y pensarlo. Nos tomaron nota como 10 minutos mas tarde , nada exagerado teniendo en cuenta que eramos 9 personas y la mitad niños. Con tanta prisa que tenian por tomarnos nota del pedido , nos pusieron las bebidas y casi tenemos que pedir mas porque ya casi nos las habiamos terminado cuando trajeron la comida. La comida horrible , el pan de las hamburguesas quemado , las patatas frias, el pollo del wrapp inexisente . Vamos , un asco para lo que te cobran por la comida . Pero lo que ya termino de rematar el mal servicio y ambiente de este lugar , ademas de la cara de perro de la encargada , fue que parece que estaban esperando como lobos hambrientos que dieramos señales de que habiamos terminado de cenar. Mi hija se levanto a las 23.10 de la noche ( SU HORA DE CIERRE SEGUN LA WEB SON LA 1.00PM)para ir al baño , y una de las empleadas que estaba a esa hora limpiando el baño casi no la deja entrar. Mientras esto ocurria ya teniamos a la encargada al lado de nuestra mesa DATAFONO EN MANO pidiendo que pagaramos la cuenta , y en cuanto habiamos pasado la tarjeta por el datafono, algun espabilado de turno de los demas empleados que habian detras de la barra nos apago las luces del establecimiento quedandonos a oscuras !!!!. He de decir que he ido a muchos restaurantes en los que la comida no ha estado demasiado bien , o el servicio no ha sido de los mejores , pero un mal dia lo tiene cualquiera Pero lo de este lugar y la actitud de los empleados me dejo pasmada por no decir con un cabreos monumental. Recomiendo a estas personas que si no les gusta el trato al cliente hay muchos mas empleos donde no tener que relacionarse con nadie , pero que no j...n a...
