Walking into Krishna Curry Bar in Santa Catalina, Palma, Mallorca, I was immediately struck by the incredible smells that greeted me—a clear indicator of the authentic Indian cuisine that awaited. Despite it being late at night and off-season, with a cold drizzle adding to the ambiance, the restaurant was impressively busy. It was so well-patronized that finding a table was a challenge; the place was almost at full capacity, predominantly with Indian diners, which spoke volumes about its authenticity and popularity. When - very hesitantly, apologetically even - offered a high table with a stool outside as the only available spot, I accepted without hesitation, drawn in by the inviting aroma and the warm welcome from the staff.

The restaurant's interior, characterized by its simple beige decor, emphasizes that the focus here is squarely on the culinary experience. This approach is something I deeply appreciated, as it aligns with my belief that the essence of a great dining spot lies in its food and the memories it creates. The spices, I learned, when possible are flown in directly from India, underscoring the family's commitment to authenticity and quality.

My interaction with the manager about the spice levels was not only informative but also indicative of the personalized service that Krishna Curry Bar prides itself on. This attention to detail was reflected in every dish I ordered, starting with the Prawn Taco. Recommended by the manager, this starter was a delightful surprise, offering a perfect mix of flavor, texture, and temperature. The main course, Lamb Butter Curry, served with rice, Tarka Daal, and plain Naan bread, was equally impressive. The lamb was tender, almost melting in the mouth, a clear sign of the quality of ingredients and the skill in the kitchen.

Dining alone outside, far from feeling isolated, I felt enveloped in the warm hospitality of the restaurant. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that my unique dining setup did not detract from my experience. This level of service, combined with the exceptional quality of food, made my visit to Krishna Curry Bar a memorable one.

Krishna Curry Bar stands out as the premier destination for Indian cuisine in the Baleares, a position well-supported by its high rating on Google Reviews. The restaurant's ability to draw a crowd, even on a cold, rainy night out of season, along with its popularity among Indian diners, strongly suggests making a reservation to secure a spot. Offering vegan options and a menu that caters to a variety of dietary preferences, I've confidently recommended Krishna Curry Bar to friends and am eager to return, ensuring next time to book in advance!

Reflecting on my visit, Krishna Curry Bar is a place I look forward to revisiting, ready to explore more of what its menu...

A Culinary Delight with Exceptional Service

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Krishna and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entire evening.

Let's start with the food—absolutely phenomenal! Each dish was a masterpiece of flavors and aromas that transported us to the streets of India. The spices were perfectly balanced, highlighting the authenticity and expertise of the chefs. Whether it was the aromatic biryani, the creamy butter chicken, or the flavorful vegetarian options, every bite was a delight to the senses. The presentation was also top-notch, enhancing the overall dining experience.

What truly elevated our experience was the outstanding service. The staff was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also incredibly attentive to our needs. Our glasses were never empty, and they were quick to accommodate any special requests we had. It's rare to find such a perfect balance of attentiveness without being intrusive, and the team at Krishna mastered it flawlessly.

The ambiance of the restaurant was another highlight. The décor was tastefully done, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. It was evident that attention to detail was given not only to the food but also to the overall dining environment.

Overall, dining at Krishna was a culinary journey that exceeded our expectations. The combination of exceptional food and impeccable service makes this restaurant a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic Indian cuisine served with a touch of elegance. We can't wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing menu. Highly...

An exquisite and cozy restaurant, by far one of the best Indian food establishments I have ever dined at… and I have dined at a lot of Indian restaurants! The waitstaff were also very attentive and pleasant. Seriously delicious and fresh food. You can tell they take pride in their work.

For starters, my husband and I had the onion bhaji and the mushrooms; out of this world, so delicious! The flavour was mouthwatering and portions were substantial. We also ordered a bottle of Tempranillo; they offered room temperature or chilled wine, which was a fabulous touch! We opted for the chilled red wine; it was very smooth, and complimented the food very well.

For main course, I had the Jalfrezi with prawn, and my husband had the chicken Rogan Josh (both medium spice level… a pleasant level of spice, subtle enough that you didn’t lose the flavours by the chili heat). We also ordered a side of mushroom rice, pilau rice, and cheese & onion roti x 2🫓

It was plenty of food, and a very fair price! We probably could have shared one roti between the two of us, but we were very hungry when we ordered 😂 if we skipped the starters, we probably could have finished it all 😂😊our waiter happily offered to pack our leftovers for take away!

We are temporarily based in Palma for work; we will be return customers for sure! Thank you so much!

Free papadums and delicious side dips!...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Krishná in downtown Palma, Mallorca, and I cannot say enough good things about it. The service was impeccable—the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, courteous, and attentive, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The drinks were fantastic, and the food was absolutely top-notch. As someone who has enjoyed Indian cuisine in some of the best restaurants around the world, including New York City, I can confidently say that Krishná is right up there with them. I started with the chicken Naan bombs appetizer, which was an amazing spectacle in my mouth. If you're craving some fantastic curry and delicious chicken dishes, look no further. The restaurant also treated us to complimentary chocolates and a cocktail at the end of our meal, which was a delightful touch. To top it all off, the prices were extremely reasonable. I also have to mention the red sangria—it was top-notch and not something you'd necessarily expect at an Indian restaurant. Overall, dining at Krishná was an exceptional experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Palma.

Lost for a place to eat on a Monday night since a lot of the restaurants were closed (the season proper doesn’t start until Easter week), I opted for Krishna which had one of the highest scores for an Indian restaurant in Palma. I certainly wasn’t disappointed… quite the contrary! I was literary in heaven when my starter arrived… Murgh Kali Mirch was mind blowing! The subtlety of the spices (I opted for medium hot) was out of this world and the chicken was perfectly cooked, tender and moist. I only had such a great dish in India. Then came Lamb Kadai with a side of pilau rice… once again the balance of spices was extraordinary. My only quibble… the lamb needed to be cooked longer and melt in one’s mouth, but the supreme flavour made up for this. I can’t recommend Krishna highly enough… great great food, lovely friendly service and very tasteful and original interior. If you are in Palma de Mallorca and looking for a sublime Indian meal then look no further
