Marui Sushi Bar & Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Palma

This was our 2nd time going & it is honestly in my Top 3 favorites in Mallorca. It's insanely delicious, the coolest ambiance & impeccable staff. The ONLY place you get this quality of sushi on the island. I swear to you - I've tried them all.

This time, I was cursed with a new strict dietary protocol (gluten free, dairy free, soy free, egg free, nuts free) which has made eating out a nightmare - NOT at MARUI. They were so accommodating 🥹 It melted my heart.

We asked Jonathon to just decide for us & bring us whatever plates he thought best & I got to eat every single one because they'd make a special portion just for me ❤️💕

I don't think they realized how grateful I was. I love to eat & usually I'd get eye rolls at other restaurants & it was so nice to be able to enjoy without worrying one bit.

The service, the team, the ambiance makes it the perfect date spot or for a meetup with friends.

From start to finish, Marui Sushi Palma exceeded all expectations! The sushi is some of the freshest we’ve had. The quality of the sushi is absolutely top-notch, The sushi is incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, highlighting the chef's incredible skill. What really impressed us was how well-priced everything was for the quality, we tried several dishes, from temaki taco to their nigiri rolls, and the wagyu tataki was truly incredible - perfectly seared and incredibly tender.

The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff, who took the time to talk us through the menu and recommended dishes that ended up being our favourites! The bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us choose the perfect sake to complement our meal.

The ambiance is stylish yet relaxed, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and gatherings with friends.

We've been residing in Palma for over a year, and our recent dining experience at Marui's has left a lasting impression. In Mallorca, it's challenging to find authentic Japanese cuisine, as most Asian restaurants tend to offer fusion dishes that, while appealing to groups and tourists, often fall short in representing the depth of each culture. However, Marui impressed us with their thoughtful execution of each course and cocktail, incorporating a modern twist while respecting traditional ingredients. Their menu reflects creativity while honoring Japanese heritage, making them one of the most authentic experiences we've had outside of Japan.
