Our recent dining experience at this restaurant was truly memorable. The warmth of the staff was evident from the onset, making us feel welcomed and valued. They provided an exceptional service, marked by an impressive attention to detail, though perhaps a touch less intensity would enhance the overall dining experience.
What particularly stood out was the restaurant's mastery in pairing each dish with a perfectly complementary beverage. This not only elevated the overall dining experience but also highlighted the unique flavors of each course. The thoughtful and well-curated matches brought out the best in both the food and the drink, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors.
The starters were nothing short of sublime, each bite a testament to the chef's culinary prowess. This excellence extended to the main course, where the balance and depth of flavors were truly outstanding.
Complementing the impeccable food, the cocktails were a delight in their own right. Skillfully crafted, each was a unique blend of flavors, showcasing the mixologist's creativity and expertise. However, they were slightly overwhelming, perhaps necessitating a more subtle approach to achieve the perfect balance.
In conclusion, this restaurant offers an unparalleled dining experience. From the well-paired food and beverages to the well-crafted cocktails, it's a haven for anyone with a discerning palate. We wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and eagerly anticipate...
Read moreThis place does a lot of things right but we had some issues during our dinner that negatively impacted our experience. For one, we arrived early and went to the bar to order some cocktails. We sat there for around 20 minutes and the cocktail waiter never even said hello or took our orders. Granted, he was the only one making cocktails and seemed very busy but it came off as very rude. Finally we were asked by another server if we wanted cocktails and he took our orders but they were so backed up that we didn’t receive them until we got to our table. The cocktails themselves were underwhelming despite great presentation. Both seemed overly sweet and not what we expected.
Dinner, on the other hand, was great overall, but not without issues. The dishes were fantastic with great presentation. However, at one point during the meal, our waitress, who was very nice throughout the night, accidentally spilled one of our glasses of wine (which didn’t bother us at all…mistakes happen) but they never offered to give us another glass! We eventually asked for a refill about 15 minutes later (once we realized she wasn’t going to refill it).
That said, most dishes were excellent and the atmosphere is great. Our steak was very undercooked and chewy despite us ordering medium and medium well, but otherwise the food was delicious and unique.
This place could be amazing, but management...
Read moreIt’s all a bit ‘middle of the road’, with a hint of pretentiousness, which we can all do without, this days and ages.
I’ve been visiting Palma for many years and I have quite a few solid favourites here, as the food scene is very vibrant and diverse. Some friends suggested Vandal and I was happy to give it a try and see if it could enter my rota of regulars.
I probably had too high expectations and felt a bit deflated after the visit, as nothing stood out as exceptional other than maybe the very creative sugar candy dessert. The menu is promising, but everything ends up with an undertone of fried food galore - and so does the smell in proximity of the kitchen, that sticks to your clothes. Some good bites, but not memorable.
The service is fine, but once again far from outstanding: a bit too ‘generic’ for the price bracket they want to fall into.
The dining room itself has a pleasant set-up, but ends up feeling a bit too crowded, but that’s understandable, as it’s a small space and it’s reasonable that the management is trying to go through as many covers as possible on any given day; it’s a business after all.
All in all, I’ll be happy to give it another try, but as I already said, the food scene in Palma is so rich, that it’s difficult to create another staple and we will have to see where things go, once the hype has calmed down.
Good with ample room for...
