MESTÍS by O96 — Restaurant in Palma

My fiancé and I had an absolutely lovely experience at Mestis! We actually ended up coming here three times because we wanted to try everything on the menu! I had the best shrimp burger I have ever had for lunch during our first visit. After enviously seeing and tasting how delicious my fiancé’s flatbread (zucchini, sweet potato, arugula, avocado, pesto) was, I knew we had to come back so I could have my very own. It was perfection. So good that I asked my fiancé to attempt to recreate it once we got back home to California. Such delicious lunches made us want to try out their recently added dinner menu. I got the Galician aged rib eye which was very good. We had a couple of cocktails each as well which were all exceptionally made with lots of care. We went to eat for dinner. The first con is that everything was done with the same nacho. I mean, the appetizers nacho chips were the same as the side dish and what's more surprising, they were the same nacho chips used for the tuna taco. The up side was that the tuna taco was delicious in taste.

The second con were the portion sizes. We asked the waitress about the sizes BEFORE ordering and she indicated a size that was totally different, way above reality. She showed us with her hands the portion size and then when the dishes came it was totally different. Quite underwhelming.

Lastly, we ordered the "patatas bravas", which is a typically very abundant platter with loads of potatoes pieces. Well, when our dish came in, we had literally counted 4 potato sticks. In other words, we paid 2€ per potato stick that were three inches.

The worst part of all is that we paid 25€ on average per person and...

Stunning food and super friendly, slick, efficient service. Loved the friendly, cool vibe here and the food was exceptional too. Crisp, zesty blue cheese salad, perfectly tender chicken and pork tacos with a little hint of perfectly judged spice. We tried the coconut/mango tapioca which was creamy and delectable. The chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream was velvety, rich and delicious too. The dry white wine was extremely good value and lovely too. Such a wonderful hour spent here before our flight home. Interior decor is calm, cool, fresh and modern too. We will definitely return and recommend to friends. Sorry I only took photos of the desserts as all of the meal was beautiful. Thank you so much.
