Il Tano Santa Catalina is a gem nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Palma de Mallorca, offering delicious Italian cuisine with a focus on authentic pizzas. Our experience at Il Tano was marked by the delightful flavors of their pizzas, which truly stole the show.
The pizza we ordered was excellent, with a perfectly thin and crispy crust topped with fresh ingredients bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delightful blend of savory goodness, showcasing the skill and expertise of the chefs in the kitchen.
However, it's worth noting that Il Tano Santa Catalina doesn't serve their full menu all day, which meant that we had to stick with pizza options during our visit. While the pizza was exceptional, it would have been nice to have the option to explore other dishes on the menu as well.
In summary, Il Tano Santa Catalina is a fantastic choice for anyone craving delicious Italian pizza in Palma de Mallorca. While the limited menu options may be a downside for some, the quality of the pizza more than makes up for it. Highly recommended for a satisfying and flavorful...

We chanced upon Il Tano after a long ride along the beach into Santa Catalina, where, just off the main road we could have sworn we were in Italy.

The crust was perfectly balanced and cooked with the perfect amount of bubble and char; the tomato base as fresh and tangy as they come and the selection of toppings carefully selected by the master of the oven - adventurous without bucking tradition.
I had the jamon pizza, the salty ham perfectly offsetting the creamy, fresh fior di latte mozzarella. This itself paired wonderfully with a small batch imported Remini Red Ale that is currently on tap at Il Tano.
For those that take their pizza seriously, you won't be...

What is absolutely FRUSTRATING is the service. There’s a SYSTEMATIC and DESPERATE NEED to get you out of the restaurant as soon as they can to free the table - even if you have booked in advance. Not all waitresses are kind to be honest, some are just bad…
Since the very moment you walk in and sit down they start asking you for your choice of drink and it does not stop until you order something. Same goes to the food… it’s literally suffocating. As soon as you have finished your meal, they come with the bill and ask how you want to pay. They are very pushy in all aspects.
Last and not least, some prices of drinks are not presented to you on the menu and you will have surprises.
