Primo Taquería — Restaurant in Palma

Where to start....... I am a qualified chef, eaten and cooked Mexican food all over the world. Not once have I experienced food as bad as this. We had the fish tacos they were burnt to a crisp and the fish was severely off. Also had the vegetarian quesedilla which tasted like American dipping cheese sauce on toast, overly salted and all round a terrible meal. At least 10 euros per plate you would expect much higher quality food than this. One of our party today is now vomiting and stomach cramps after having the fish tacos. We told the waiter we are not happy with the food he all of a sudden gets angry at us suggesting we are trying to get a free meal!? I have worked in the hospitality industry my whole life, I would NEVER go out for dinner with the intention of getting a free meal. After much debate with 2 of the waiters they threatened to call the police if we don’t pay, we then said we have had enough we will pay and take it up with a manager at a later date, both refused and said we now cannot pay as the police had been called. Finally let us pay, nothing taking off the meal, no apology, no voucher all we got was swearing and shouting (in the middle of the restaurant). After leaving the restaurant out of nowhere one of his colleagues shoved me twice into the ground, kicks me on the floor (in front of the entire garden of the restaurant) and runs away. I suggest to never ever eat in this restaurant, not only is the food utter shite if you do dare to complain it’s not up to any form of standard you will then get assaulted and the threat of the police being called. Leaving what was meant to be our final nice meal of a nice holiday, I leave feeling embarrassed, ashamed and upset that one restaurant and two people can ruin our entire family holiday. Extremely Poor Service – Unacceptable Hospitality

Last night, my friend and I arrived without a reservation. The staff were initially friendly and accommodated us at a table for two in the back room. Service started well—our drinks and food were taken quickly. However, they mistakenly served prawn tacos instead of the Baja fish tacos we ordered. Though we didn’t complain, the prawn tacos were over-fried and dry. Other dishes were decent but lacked flavor, with the chicken burrito bowl being particularly average.

The real issue arose when my husband unexpectedly arrived. Instead of assisting, the waiter blocked him at the entrance, insisting I wasn’t there. After confirming my location by calling me, he joined us, but when we requested an extra chair, the waiter rudely refused, stating we had only requested a table for two. We then asked to move to an adjacent, unoccupied table for three, but he dismissively declined, claiming it was “reserved.” And further that all other tables were reserved. His attitude was loud, unhelpful, and unwilling to find a solution. I asked him directly: What is the solution? A professional response would have been to check availability, ask if my husband planned to dine, or offer alternatives. Instead, he forced my husband to stand awkwardly next to our table while we hurriedly finished eating.

Ironically, five minutes after requesting the bill, the same waiter suddenly allowed us to move tables—but by then, the damage was done. The lack of flexibility and basic hospitality in a half-empty restaurant was appalling. Staff with such dismissive attitudes have no place in the service industry. Not a great experience here. The food was ok, nothing amazing. It was raining while we visited and we had no reservation and therefore we were offered a seat outside, under the big umbrellas. That was ok for us but the customer service was lacking completely: when it started raining really hard, we asked if we can move inside, as there were many tables unoccupied. The response was that the inside tables were reserved and we needed to remain outside. Then the table we were sitting at was full of water and we asked for some napkins in order to avoid getting water from the table on us and on the plates. Those napkins were never received. We asked for the remaining food to be put to go, the waiter put it in a box and the proceeded to put the box on the table right where there was full of water and the box got super wet. This really ruined the whole meal for us and we left there really dissapointed.
