Regrettably underwhelming.
Food was good but nothing explosive or memorable. Service was great. If it had been cheaper, I would have given at least 4 stars, but at the current pricing, I expected much more.
The eggplant is delicious, but really would have enjoyed some rice with it. They apparently dont serve white rice, and our fried rice came out well afterwards.
Found everything to have similar salty/ sweet flavours and was missing a fresh, tangy or spicy element. Even the baos which were supposed to have pickles, only had one thin piece of cucumber, totally overwhelmed by the hoisin sauce. Would have loved a salad or something similar on the menu.
Everything had sooooo much spring onion on it, probably adding to why everything tasted the same.
Timing of the dishes was slow and strange.
Table was so dark we could barely see the food, and also space around my seat was small.
I also saw a dish come out of the same window that had a pile of dirty dishes right next to it. Not exactly hygenic.
The food was tasty, and the waiters were lovely, but overall wont be...
Read moreThis was the BEST chinese food we‘ve ever eaten - for real. Even though the portions are quiet small (the idea seems to be like tapas and you should take more..) the taste is unreal! All the flavours acting like a explosion - just wow. The price is compared to others definitely high but worth it due to the amazing taste. Even for vegetarians there are options. Recommend the aubergine! We‘ll definitely come back and will enjoy some more dishes you guys have to offer on your menu. The restaurant itself is quiet and have an amazing interior design, especially in the garden. The worker‘s are friendly, welcoming and willing to fullfill your wishes. Sadly two of the dishes we wanted were no longer available. Also we had to wait pretty long and the dishes came with a big time difference, so that the first ones already cooled down. They offered us a free dish and free drinks as an excuse. We were totally fine with that and would add this reaction as well to a great service.
Overall - great experience and we‘re looking forward to...
Read moreThere are not many Chinese restaurants on Mallorca. To find one that is really good is difficult. Mr Xiao came close. The Peking duck is their unique selling product. Their dim sums are delicious. The prices are very fair. The only think we did not understand at all is their wine list. Extremely expensive wines, probably 80% is over 40 euros. The list does not match the concept nor the food prices and that in a country where you can get decent wines for much lower prices. Even the wine by the glass starts at 6 euros. For Palma and Mallorca this is too much. My advise to the owners is to change the wine list and built it up differently matching food prices and a higher amount of lower priced wines on the menu. The service was implacable and super friendly. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. Overall a very good experience and I would come again but would probably...
