I had the pleasure of dining at Patron Lunares in Palma, Spain, back in March 2017, and the experience left an indelible mark on my culinary journey. This hidden gem tucked away on Carrer de la Fàbrica is nothing short of spectacular.
From the moment I stepped into Patron Lunares, I was captivated by its warm and inviting ambiance. The charming decor, adorned with eclectic art pieces and rustic furnishings, set the stage for what would be a truly memorable meal.
Now, let's talk about the food. It was, without a doubt, some of the most amazing I've had the pleasure of savoring. The menu offered a delightful fusion of Spanish and Mediterranean flavors, expertly crafted to create culinary masterpieces. Each dish was a work of art, both in presentation and taste.
The fresh ingredients used in every course spoke volumes about the restaurant's commitment to quality. From the perfectly seared seafood to the tender, succulent meats, every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication. I still find myself reminiscing about the unforgettable paella I savored that evening; it was simply divine.
The staff at Patron Lunares were not only attentive but also passionate about their craft. They were more than willing to provide recommendations and insights into the menu, ensuring that each guest had a tailored dining experience. Their hospitality added an extra layer of charm to the overall visit.
The wine selection complemented the meal wonderfully, and I appreciated the knowledgeable sommelier who guided me to the perfect pairing. Dining at Patron Lunares was not just about satisfying one's appetite; it was a journey through the flavors of Spain that left me with a deep appreciation for Mediterranean cuisine.
While my visit was in March 2017, I can only hope that Patron Lunares continues to delight patrons with its culinary prowess. If you find yourself in Palma, Spain, and have a hankering for an extraordinary dining experience, do not miss the opportunity to savor the exquisite offerings at Patron Lunares. It's a culinary adventure you won't...
Read moreWe went for dinner and we enjoyed the food. The bacalao carpaccio was nice and the grilled steak was also good. For dessert I had a typical local merengue with English cream, vanilla specks and a sort of custard. I have no complains on the food, the decor is interesting and the wine list is good. The BIG BUT is their service, this seriously needs to improve.
I made a booking and we arrived 15 mins earlier, one of the waiter offered us to sit in the bar but other waiter said they did not open until 8. We returned at 8, they offered us a table at the entrance, we requested a cabinet but they said that it was reserved, they offered us one one in the back which was OK. My wife went to the toilets and the personnel told her that they were cleaning them, really guys!!! Don't let the entrance until 8 and you have not cleaned the toilets... mmmhhh bad for you. They said they will let her know when she could use them but that did not happen, she had to visit the restroom area 5 times to check if it was ready to use it .
The service tries to be friendly but it is far from professional, I asked for a second dessert but the waiter did not bring it. The waiter took away our glasses of wine before we finish them without asking. I asked for a dessert wine and they offered me a local spirit. I asked for a sparkling wine then but they said they only serve champagne, something weird because when we arrived they offered us the sparkling wine as an appetizer. The site was not full, I don't understand why they could not sit us in the cabinet. My advise is to go for the food, but don't expect too much for the service. Again, this last needs to be improved because the place is not a cheap one and actually it's pricy for the kind of...
Read moreAnnoying. We’ve ordered fried fish mix (menu clearly says “pescado” not “marisco”) and as second main dish the calamari, on purpose avoiding octopuses (“pulpo”listed on other position in the menu). To our surprise next to the calamari on metal pole, we got a plate of mixed octopus, calamari (yes, again), 3 tiny fish meat cubes and 2 sad sardines on top. I was too astonished to take a photo of it. Once we asked waiter what is it he insisted THIS is what we ordered and tried to convince us that octopus parts are actually fish meat. We simply couldn’t agree with him, so he has offered taking it back to the kitchen and ordering another new position from the menu instead. We were both hungry, it was late evening and we can’t stand disposing edible food, so we kept it, nevertheless it’s deeply annoying that a restaurant which apparently was Michelin recommendation in 2017 brought us whatever leftovers they had from ingredients for other dishes and called it our choice. You can see on the bill that this position name was spelled with capital letters, which also suggests it was added later out of necessity. Pity because it ruined the experience, which otherwise would have been decent, as calamari was pretty good, but that’s basically only...
