Bon Thai Cala Mayor — Restaurant in Palma

So, me and my wife love Thai food and the food was great. we would recommend it on a 5 star level. But the overall experience could be enhanced very easily. I'll start with the food , I had kho tam soup and duck red curry, it was really nice. My wife had som tam which was lovely and pad kee Mao, if you've never had it before, it was nice, but it wasn't flat rice noodle and not what was expected.... but still nice.

So a few basics to enhance the experience, serve customers with non chipped cutlery, get a fly zapper for inside or remove the plant, I killed a few flies and we both fished one out of our wine. Also there was so much room inside , add a few tables, people were queuing outside.

I've been going to Bon Thai since it opened.. always great food and service.. but the last 3 times I've ordered take away the order has not been correct.. the first time the order was missing spring rolls.. the second time after passing bon thai with my order and told to return 20 mins later.. the order was lost so no food was ready and had to be ordered again. Then thirdly I again ordered food and despite being charged for what was ordered I only received half of my order.. I did receive the rest of my order later that evening after calling bon thai. Having been in Spain for few days I’ve really missed something spicy. I’ve found this very simple Thai place and what a treat it has been!! I saw at least 2(!) talented Thai chefs in the kitchen!! 🤩😵 I ordered penang noodles and omg- it was Everything I dreamed of!! Super hot (!!!), lots of Vegetables too and PERFECT flavours of so familiar Penang curry on my plate!!!🤩 Sweet and spicy enough 🙏, lots of coconut- I Really enjoyed it!! Portions are Huge!!!

Staff was Super friendly, helpful, kind and attentive!! Speaks very good English too!
