Santa Restaurant — Restaurant in Palma

I had a 2 day stay in Mallorca and a very good friend of mine recommended to me Santa restaurant. The location is just perfect close to Old Town. We sat outside but you can also sit inside. The indoors offers a very classy vibe with lots of cool details... We started with bottle of local wine "La Parada" and the unique dishes started to come out, the chef here has the idea that every plate will be as unique and designed in a way that you never had tried before. The waiter would explicitly take the time to explain exactly everything you are eating. This experience makes Santa so unique. You get all kinds of unexpected delicious flavors. I have to give this restaurant a 5 star ! I was so happy because given my short time in Palma I needed a good restaurant. well, all restaurants were getting full on the outside and this restaurant only had two tables taken… was not sure but pics looked ok… it filled up within 10 minutes of us sitting. lucas our waiter was excellent and they choose waiters based on language (nice touch). first off there was two adults and our 11 year old.. all of us are super fussy and cook with chefs often. tuna tataki on tagliatelle which the tuna was the best i’ve had and even better than last nights nigiri at the japanese. corvina was also beautiful and a first , cross between sea bass and cod but lighter. cajun chicken thighs for me and these were actually super juicy definitely had been brined but not salty tasting… in all this was a fantastic meal with both service and food and so glad we visited.. as for desert, it’s about to come after this review but it...

I saw this place on a few lists of ‘best restaurants’ in Palma and was so surprised after visiting it. It’s a kind of place you instantly regret you booked. once you’re there. First, it’s on such a crowded street with no zoning, that you feel like you’re eating in the middle of a market — people just walk in and out past your table to see the menu and leave. The smell on the street is disgusting — you can’t think of anything else other than why you’re still there. The menu is so obscure, that literally you don’t know what to expect from how of the positions. And everything we ordered was as mediocre as in a food court (the place location is actually exactly between cheap food courts) with cocktails being pure ice.
