I think I detect a bit of a tourist trap here. Atmosphere and decour is lovely and I'm sure if you came here for drinks with a group you'd have a lovely evening but the food was extremely sub par, especially for the price as was the service. Put it this way; I skipped my hotel meal because the food there was disappointing but after my meal at Club Café I actually went back to eat at my hotel buffet after leaving dissatisfied (and not full) and enjoyed the food at my hotel more.

For starter I was given cream of vegetable soup which had no taste! I think was very watered down and not a "cream off" type soup. I should add as well before this I was given a (weirdly hot) roll and butter which I assumed was an appetizer as the soup arrived 5 mins later but it seemed the roll was for the soup, at least I assume? No one explained this so I had finished it by this point. Even more bizarrely though they charged me for the bread and butter as an extra even though I never ordered it? So was this for the soup or not? Because charging for it makes no sense as it should have either been included in the price of the soup or complimentary if I had no choice as to waether it ended up on the table or not? At least I was given a complimentary hair in my soup so there's that!

My main was prime rib-eye steak, stroganauf, rice and chips... At least the menu said this! It was really just a small steak, chopped with a little bland, watery sauce underneath and cold hard rice and looked very poorly presented. The steak was okay, I would almost say good though if you cook steak you are meant to let it rest which they had not done so there were juices everywhere and as a result it was somewhat tough. The rice didn't compliment the meat or sauce due to its blandness, coldness and hard texture and they didn't give me chips? It looked like it was plated as planned so perhaps it was a poor translation and the menu was meant to say rice or chips? But when I ordered I was never asked to specify which I wanted.

It's worth mentioning too the staff were so clearly rushed off their feet... which is fine though clearly down to poor management... but there's still a huge missed opportunity to take an extra couple of seconds to check in with guests or smile and explain some basic things or take enough time to remember orders (had to ask for a drink twice) or listen out for guests, who I heard shouting for their attention (I would normally say this is rude but the waitors didn't once check in with the guests to see if they needed anything else and walked very quickly without looking at the tables so you had to shout to stop them)

All in all this was just a poor experience and as I say, I had a very satisfying top up at the hotel when I get back, with a much nicer and tastier vegetable soup... from a buffet that I had decided the previous night wasn't good!

I would really aim to spend your money on food elsewhere as this can only be described as a tourist trap. The business model is clearly: set up in a nice location, seat as many people as possible, make the food as quickly and cheaply as possible and serve it for the highest price you can...

unfortunately we didn't have a great experience here.

i kept seeing this restaurant on social media before our holiday so my boyfriend and i decided to come for dinner. we spent a few minutes looking at the menu before the host came over and offered to seat us. she pointed at a few tables and we went to sit at one and she then pointed at another. this was a little confusing but as we went to sit down another lady (who then became our waitress) ushered us to follow her to another table (no greeting, just made us follow her).

i had good expectations as the atmosphere was great. absolutely gorgeous interior and good music with a dj. but unfortunately this quickly downgraded as our server was very hostile and had no interest in serving us. we thought maybe she was just having a bad day, but another couple were seated next to us and she was lovely towards them.

we didn't think there was a language barrier (we are british) as she took our orders with no issue, but she just felt very passive aggressive and had no interest in actually making an effort to serve us. no smile or anything.

our food arrived in good time, and a basket of bread and butter was placed on our table (as well as all the other tables) which we liked.

the food however was not the best. i ordered the authentic carbonara which was okay, good portion size but had a very bitter/sour aftertaste which i've never experienced before with authentic carbonara. therefore i couldn't finish it. my boyfriend made a mistake while ordering, he asked for the squid with jasmine rice but pointed at the calamari so therefore he received the calamari. initially we didn't know this, so we politely tried to speak to our server but once again just pure hostility. we said that it is okay and my boyfriend still ate his food as we couldn't be bothered for the hastle.

when we got the bill we were attended to by another server who was lovely! but we discovered that you are charged for the bread and butter so keep that in mind. the calamari was a good portion size but for €18.50 my partner said it wasn't the best.

overall i wouldn't dine here again and wouldn't really recommended it to anyone, we think there's better options...

We had a meal and drinks at this restaurant last night. The facilities, lighting, decor and atmosphere are lovely, quite clean toilets ect. They have a good range of food and the quality was not bad too, not amazing but not bad. The huge let down for us was the service!!!! Really disappointing....we returned our 4 year old son's burger because to us it was raw (and we are people who hate to complain and literally never return food) I said to the waitress to even bring us the same plate...the waitress took it back and never returned it to us. We finished with our food and the kid was the only one who hasn't eaten. After 20 minutes I kindly asked her to check for the burger and by the facial expression of the cook I think he only just received this order 🤦🏻‍♀️ after another 10 minutes I literally asked her to bring my son something to eat regardless the burger....some chips whatever and the kids meal (burger and chips) finally ARRIVED after about and hour from the initial order. Overall super disappointing, she never even apologised or seemed to care for anything else apart from her device...too bad for the nice atmosphere. We are probably going back for cocktails on another visit, but definitely...

Having eaten at their other establishment in the square three nights earlier we were eager to try out the club cafe! While the miserable Staley Tucci man from Compostellrna was not there, it did seem that ALL staff we encountered here had a level of arrogance, we literally felt like second class citizens, everyone Spanish was served first and we were treated to a kind of “f*** you” attitude. There were sighs because we didn’t understand the questions, tuts and the occasional “I hope you die” glance. Yes this is the place to come if your English and don’t want to feel remotely welcome, like a five star restaurant without the class, that sits in the towns square and charges a premium because they have the best spot, don’t expect a level of respect, because it doesn’t matter, they have the best spot and people will go regardless of reputation. We had wrinkled potatoes, risotto, a cheese ball (name escapes me) with breads and grilled vegetables, served with a glass of wine, gluten free beer and some stern looks. Our meal was €30 more than their neighbouring restaurant. The food was very good, the service sucked to high heaven! Know your place English speaking tourists if you come here.

Everything started off very well, the drinks were nice and fruity. Things went left, when we got the mains, we got bread on the table that we did not ask for. For the main course we had "Taigliatelle verde con salsa de calabacín y parmesano al limón" it was delicious, we also ordered "Atún rojo asado con salsa de miel de palma y mostaza con verduras salteadas" which was very dry the waiter did not even bother to say sorry and she only offered to change the plate. Later, onced we finished eating tbe mains, we asked another waiter for dessert and he said he will tell his colleagues. We ordered a slice of red velvet cake very quickly just before closing. We was them brought the bill 5 minutes later, we asked the waiter that brought the bill if the cake was coming, which we was then told no and that they would not be able to get it as she could "not serve food as the kitchen was closed" the cake is on display in a fridge when you enter the resturant, it is not in the actual kitchen. Overall, I feel very disappointed because it was not my first time eating here but after this experience it will be the last.
