Cafe Inter Mezzo in La Paz is a great place to eat, drink, and relax after great days checking out all the good places Puerto De La Cruz has to offer. It has disabled access into the front of the restaurant but wouldn't try going any further with a wheelchair. I can't add anything about the toilets as I did not use them. I don't know if they had a disabled / accessible toilet either for the same reason. Most disabled diners and holiday makers that I know, live in fear of going to a toilet or even asking for one, whilst in Britain but abroad is a completely different matter. Okay, now we have that all out of the way let's talk about food! Three times we visited this place whilst on holiday and three times it was amazing. The servers all speak English, sort of, but you can make yourself understood just with a few simple words of Spanish. We had no problem ordering from the menu and our server liked the fact that we didn't just point at the picture of the food and raise two fingers! The food was prepared as you say in the covered patio area freshly to order. The portions are big and delicious. I can honestly recommend Inter Mezzo in La Paz, Puerto de la Cruz, it's a fabulous place, really welcoming and really good value for an evening meal or lunch. For the two of us minus the tip, it was just shy of £37.00. That was for 4 coke zeros, vegan paella, and a very large margarita pizza with a side of french fries. Yes, vegan paella, veg stock, vegetables including, baby carrots, green beans, peppers, aubergine, etc, was extraordinarily good! I always wanted to try paella but I do not like shellfish of any kind, the texture is just not for me. So when we walked past this place, on the way to down to the Old Town and the boards outside had this on the top of the bill. I had to do in and try it. I loved it and I went back for more díring the holiday. Great place and the staff are brilliant, every single one of them . The atmosphere is lovely at any time to be honest, it just depends on how many people are there eating but afternoons are nice and quiet. The staff are always the same though cheerful, happy, laughing and very keen to help. You will not be...

I had the displeasure of visiting this restaurant and I have to say that it was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. First and foremost, the food was absolutely terrible - greasy, heavy, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. It was so oily that I could feel my arteries clogging with each bite. On top of that, the wait time was unreasonably long. The service was slow and inattentive, and it seemed like the staff couldn't care less about their customers' satisfaction. To make matters worse, the music was so loud that I could barely hear myself think. And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, one of us ran to the washroom to do a forced puking session - to be in the safe side. I suspect that the food was contaminated, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a case of food poisoning going around. We went around with the taste and texture of old oil in our mouths, even after brushing teeth multiple times. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The bad and oily food, long wait time, loud music, and potential food poisoning make it a terrible place to dine. Save your money and go somewhere else where you can actually enjoy your meal without risking...
Read moreIf I could put 0 stars I would. We came here on our first day by passing, the waitress was extremely rude to us and basically ignored us for half the time we was there. My son wanted ice cream, so he asked and she said ‘no food first’ so he sat and waited for us to finish our meals before asking for ice cream again. He got his ice cream, but 2 seconds later the waitress came up behind me and slapped down the bill when we wasn’t finished yet, and asked how we was paying.
2nd time visit, we thought we would pop in for a drink, the man seen us enter as we smiled but we was ignored for 10+ minutes so my partner asked if he could order at the bar and he was told no, table service. So when the waiter came to get our order he was blunt, brought over our drinks and ignored us for the rest of the time.
I don’t know if it’s because we was tourists, or he treats most people the same way, but I felt like our table was treated differently both times we came to others.
Don’t recommend! Spend your money elsewhere, many options with...
