After reading the reviews, we were excited to see why this restaurant was rated so highly. We were seated quickly, and the gentleman who welcomed us was extremely friendly and polite — a very upbeat individual.
We ordered our drinks and food, and while waiting for our starters we were pleasantly surprised to be given bread with alioli. However, we were less impressed at the end of the meal when we discovered that this was not complimentary, but added to the bill despite not ordering it.
Our starters arrived promptly, and we were very pleased with both the portion sizes and the quality — they were a strong start to the meal. Unfortunately, the same standard did not carry through to the mains. I had the seafood pizza while my partner chose the prawn pasta.
The pizza was disappointing. The seafood appeared to have been frozen, leaving it tough and chewy, while excess moisture made the base soggy to the point that the toppings slid off. It felt like eating separate components rather than an actual pizza.
The prawn pasta had similar issues with the prawns being rubbery and lacking freshness. That said, the pasta itself was cooked very well — the texture of the tagliatelle was excellent. Unfortunately, the flavour was underwhelming, dominated almost entirely by garlic without much depth.
Overall, while the service was genuinely warm and welcoming, the food did not live up to the high expectations set by the reviews. For that reason, it’s unlikely we...
Read moreAbsolutely Amazing – A Highlight of Our Holiday
First of all, a huge thank you to Milu, Yaizu, and Miguel. They were incredible and honestly made our entire holiday. We came here every single day, sometimes just for a coffee, because their service and atmosphere were that good. This is what true customer service looks like.
The food was excellent — fresh, flavourful, and always enjoyable. Even something simple like a salad was great, but as a meat eater my personal favourite was the grilled chicken burger with potato wedges. Their authentic Italian dishes were also fantastic. One evening, after we’d spent over 100 euros on a meal, Yaizu surprised us with some shots. Normally I dislike vodka (it tastes like hand sanitizer to me), but she brought out an amazing caramel vodka that went down so smoothly we ended up buying bottles at duty free on the way home!
What stood out most was the atmosphere and the team’s genuine kindness. Not all staff spoke perfect English, but they were patient, helpful, and always made the effort. They truly brightened our days. My family and I came back daily for either a full meal or just coffee, and every time was a positive experience.
If you’re not sure what to order, simply tell them what you’re in the mood for — they’ll make a great recommendation. I cannot recommend this place highly enough: great food, amazing service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. These people deserve...
Read moreOur trip to San Amaro was quite underwhelming the male staff member was lovely and very friendly/nice however the woman working was very rude and quite dismissive when ordering we asked if the meal of the day was available in which she sighed and reiterated that it was for the day not night despite the sign not stating any times on it and actually still being out on the street and the key factor in most people coming as we while there witnessed at least two other couples ask the same question some even leaving when told the answer. I’d like to note the day is 24 hours so unsure why asking such a question would get such a reaction but despite this we ordered food and it was quite nice to be fair not amazing or as nice as some competitors in the local area but quite nice. We were also repeatedly told to review when paying the bill in which I actually stated I already had it done but again was requested to scan while she watched but I am a grown man and no one person is going to tell me what to do despite how insistent they are so we left on that note but would like to add we were giving a free drink a when leaving which was...
