Pizzeria La Toscana — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

This is NOT Italian cuisine. This is cheap tourist food, poorly prepared, cheap ingredients, miserly portions of meat and I felt sad eating it. If you like Italian food, go elsewhere. If you don't care about paying for mediocre food, well that's on you. If you are the owner, it's a real shame to have an Italian restaurant on such a popular street and be so far from true Italian cuisine. Please consider consulting an Italian chef and creating a brand new menu with good ingredients. If somebody orders a meat pizza, they expect a lot of meat on it not one ounce worth and barbecue sauce is not a pizza topping anywhere in Italy....

Overall good kitchen and friendly management. But our experience was only medium good: we ordered Pizza Margarita. The pizza was really burnt at the bottom. My daughter tried to eat it nevertheless. As I noticed this, I asked the waitress to change the pizza. The waytress accepted, that the pizza is burbt, but she started to dispute with my because my daughter had already eaten about a half of the pizza. As I asked to give me the complaint register, the waytress wanted to consult with the manager. He decided for the bebefit of us and said explicitly pardon for such a course. La Toscana is a fantastic restaurant. We went for a "little walk" around downtown Tenerife but after four hours walking we were tired and hungry, I found this place in an alley on Google Maps. The food looked so delicious that I didn't even think of taking pictures, but the empty plates had a few minutes before contained homemade ravioli and macaroni with an excellent pesto sauce. The bread was delicious and even more was the tiramisu. This place is worth coming to just for the tiramisu, best I've ever had. The bill came to €40 which is perfectly reasonable for a nice clean restaurant with excellent and friendly service. They were serving pizzas on the tables around us, next time we're going for pizza they looked excellent!

La Toscana es un restaurante fantástico. Fuimos a dar un "pequeño paseo" por el centro de Tenerife, pero después de cuatro horas de caminata estábamos cansados ​​y hambrientos.
