Bico de Xeado — Restaurant in Santiago de Compostela

I typically don't write reviews but after my recent experience at this place, I felt compelled to do so. :)

We went in for some ice cream during our visit to Santiago de Compostela and there were nine of us and one of my kids is celiac (gluten free) and has a peanut allergy while another one has allergies to all tree nuts. The staff was amazing!

The young lady that served us took the time to grab an unopened container for each of my two children and even changed her gloves to ensure no cross-contamination of ingredients. Considering how many people were there and how busy it was, she went above and beyond and we were very impressed.

The kids and the rest of the family loved the ice cream and we plan to return next time we visit!

Rude staff. Great quality needs to have great service.

Was excited to try Galician ice cream. Waited twenty minutes in the rain. Asked for a cup of ice cream. The waiter was rudely staring at us, spinning our cup across the counter top. She was impatient and unsanitary. All staff did not wear gloves! While getting our ice cream, she spoke a rude remark to her colleague about us. Both of them looked at us and laughed. We felt discriminated and humiliated.

Highly disrespectful staff. We did not even eat the ice cream after this...

Llevo siendo clienta desde que abristeis es un proyecto que como gallega me gusta estar orgullosa de comprar y enseñárselo a toda la gente de afuera que viene. Pero no sé que está pasando con la atención que de un tiempoa esta parte está siendo pésima. Sales con la sensación de que te están haciendo un favor por venderte un helado. Pero siempre piensas que las dependientas o dependientes deben de agotados que lo dejas pasar. Pero ayer yendo a comprar un helado con unos amigos irlandeses que venían a conocer Galiza ocurrió una situación superdesagradable con una de las dependientas que acabó en una hoja de reclamaciones por lo desagradable e irrespetuoso que fue. Me da tanta pena que un proxecto tan bonito como es ese se venda al público así... Sobre todo porque hay muchas otras tiendas de helados que aunque no se hacen tras una cooperativa gallega como este y que también reciben muchísima cantidad de gente, la atención es completamente diferente. Espero que seais capaz de solucionar lo que sea que esté ocurriendo porque es una pena. Ayer salí temblando de vuestro local debido al mal rato. Yo mientras...
