Wow, what can I say. This place was and is absolutely amazing. Not only was the atmosphere just perfect, but the food was exceptional. The decor inside was very fitting to the culture and the music that was playing was not playing exceptionally loud, but it set the mood just right Wehought we would try some dishes that we have not tried before. We liked this place so much that we had to go twice during our trip to Seville. We ordered the hummus, which is a go to of ours, but thought we would try their version of it. It wasn't overly powerful it flavor, but when you mixed everything together you definitely got just enough taste to go with the naan bread that was given with it. They were kind enough to refill the naan after we got done with our first helping. There was enough hummus to go around the table a few times. Another appetizer we tried was the makdous, which consisted of baby eggplant stuffed with nuts and garlic. Boy, this dish had so many flavors wrapped in to one. The flavors and consistency of the food with a little bit of added crunch from the nuts was not powerful, but bold! We had three different entrees, first, qalaia (lamb meat bathed in natural tomato sauce with rice), second, sayieu (lamb meat and vegetables with charcoal), and third, tajin (stew of veal, apricots, plums, nuts and sesame). There were no complaints for any of the foods we had. Each and every dish was different, of course, in their own way. The lamb and veal was cooked perfectly. The meats were so tender and it fell off the bone. The seasoning of different herbs and spices were spot on. The vegetables were cooked perfectly that they still had a bit of crunch to it. I couldn't speak more highly for the food. And for the staff, big ups to you guys. You were all do pleasant and wonderful. You were always so helpful and always had a smile on your faces. They definitely helped you answer your question and helped with suggestions to your liking. Food was priced fairly for the food. I did not think the food was overpriced at all. Overall, this was quite the experience, as you could tell! Thank you very much! Highly...
Read moreWe decided to visit this Moroccan restaurant in Seville based on its good reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by loud Arabic disco music. After enduring it for about 15 minutes, we kindly asked if they could turn it down, which they did.
We love lamb meat and were looking forward to trying a lamb tagine, but it was not available. Instead, we were recommended the lamb kabsah. When the food arrived, it was immediately clear that it was not lamb. I mentioned this to the waiter, but she insisted it was lamb, even though it tasted more like cheap ossobuco meat. The dish was tasteless and bland, and I couldn't finish it.
I told the waiter again that I believed it was not lamb, and then another waiter showed up with a frozen leg of lamb, trying to prove that it was indeed lamb meat they had used. Despite this, the taste and quality did not match our expectations.
We also ordered a chicken tagine for the table, which was another disappointment. It lacked flavors and was served without any bread.
Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. It was simply not...
Read moreLeaving this review here because the owner accused me of fabricating my "very detailed" story when I left the review (by mistake) on their sister tea shop. The owner has the gall to deny that they are Jordanian when a simple visit to their Facebooo Page Teteria Al Sultan will show a recent post of the Jordanian owner we met, if this wasn't enough, this so-called restaurant serves Jordan's national dish and advertises its menu with "Jordanian/Moroccan food". COPIED Absolutely disastrous. We are Jordanian visitors of Sevilla and we were very excited to find a restaurant that had Arabic food, this excitement went south really fast, service was slow, food had zero authenticity or flavor. The owner (who is also Jordanian) overcharged us, when we asked him about the extra charge he shared surprisingly racist remarks about our Jordanian origin (we're Northeners and he's a Southerner Jordanian) explaining that "you Northerners are rich"!!!!!!!!!! We are ashamed he is claiming to represent Arabic food in Sevilla. We do not recommend, if you're a non Arab and expecting decent Arabic food, skip this place, if you're...
