Alhucema Cafe Bar — Restaurant in Seville

Such a lovely place. Sweet interior, very cool stylistically - with frilly curtains and an old cigarette dispenser in the corner, the coolest little bar in Seville. The place was practically empty both times we went, which is a real shame because it’s such a gem - though we were there on a week day in December. Hidden in plain sight on the corner of an off-road, it didn’t seem to get much footfall, definitely not from tourists. The guy in there was very friendly, and when we asked for martinis, he said: no, the vermouth is best; and we ended up having a very tasty vermouth, that would’ve been ruined in a martini. We exchanged a few chats about the drinks (would’ve been strange not to as we were the only ones in there) and he was a very nice guy. The atmosphere is unbeatable and the drinks were delicious and considerably affordable for a good vermouth. It’s also open till as late as you’d want it. El Bar Alhucema queda situado en la calle Mateo Alemán cuyo enclave recuerda al escritor Hispalense.

En este lugar, el cliente o viajante puede hace aun alto en el camino para tomar algún que otro refrigerio con estilo. Históricamente representó una tienda de ultramarinos que volvió a reconvertir sus contenidos con todo lujo de detalle en un café muy especial.

La muestra principal de esto que comentamos puede observarse en todo su entorno y mobiliario dentro del cual descansa gran parte de licores y diferentes alternativas. Es diseño conserva el estilo originario del antiguo local y su servicio viene siendo atendido por el dueño hasta 40 años.
