Bodeguita Sierpes — Restaurant in Seville

My wife and I ordered 2 gin and tonics and an order of ham. When he poured the gin, he gave me significantly less than he gave my wife, as he had reached the bottom of the bottle and did not bring more. When the ham arrived, we had 4 pieces, one of which was mostly fat. My wife noted that the Spanish speaking customer at the table next to us was given a much larger serving of the same thing. When the bill came, the waiter (an older, portly gentleman) stated that service was not included. When I added nothing to the credit card payment, he set down a payment tray, and rudely tapped it and repeated that service was not included. I left him a little, but shouldn't have. This was the only bad experience we had during our two week visit to this...

This place is really great! Excellent food and fair & honest prices. Mr. Luciano was an outstanding professional and knew exactly what to suggest to my father and me. We fully enjoyed the delicious food prepared by Mr. Rafael. Three tapas. A great Iberian ham and cheese sandwich, a great potato sandwich and a small dish of tender pork meat and potatoes. I also must praise the excellent coffee and the great ambiance. A wonderful place for a nice coffee/ food break after visiting the Cathedral of Seville. I also found out that they belong to the Robles restaurant chain. I highly recommend it. Will be back for a longer meal....

The food here was fairly good however the worst part is when we went to pay the bill, the waiter with the black hair and glasses TOLD us that "servicio" was not included in the price and suggested we leave something .... Basically for HIM ... TWICE he said this and when we told him to round up the bill to a whole number he actually made it for a little more. Conceivably so it would be easier for him to pocket. We have lived in Spain for 3 years and have NEVER had this happen. Sorry Sevilla, this type of situation should not occur. More than likely because it was in a touristy area.
