An update on the below on December 20th: please review the owners response and you will know how the waiters are trained. “Bad Manners” are not welcome, not sure what the owner is talking about? cause we didn’t show any bad manners we were just a family who wanted to have dinner. Then, he blamed it on kids being hungry which means I don’t think they understood the whole point and the english written, and lastly, I don’t think its a subjective review if others had the same reviews and even went to the extreme and called you racist, which I didn’t, but I guess I could see why now they said that. Apologies not accepted.

First of all, I should say waiters should be trained how to serve, answer questions, and be professional in their conversations to customers. I remember eating at this place a couple years ago and the place was ok , on a crowded day when other good places are all booked, so I recommended it to my wife and kids. You get there and you asked to be seated and since we are 4 they kept seating two parties instead of just combing two simple tables that were beside each other. Until now its fine, they might have a procedure, I get it. First waiter told us you are on the waitlist, I told him, we will be just in-front of the restaurant to the left cause my kids are running and hungry and they will just bather your customers he said ya its totally fine, I walked to them 10 minutes later just to remind them that am standing there and the other waiter told me you need to wait inside so I was like I have kids and they wont sit so its even better for your place, the waiter flipped out and told me “ don’t talk to me like that please”, and just turned his back and walked back inside to the store. I saw a couple of reviews of accusations of being racist. I don’t think they are racists, they are just not trained well to communicate with different customers and especially in this area, you are expected to see people from different cultures. You mention you have international waiters and english speakers, but its not showing. People would prefer a google translator to spainsh than someone claims to speak english but being rude and arrogant, and it just showed not in one incident but many...

I was looking for a fine restaurant with a good steak, and this is what I found, a TOURIST SCAM.

They charge meat BY GRAM. I got a half of steak full of hard tendons which were inedible. I told the waiter nicely and was expecting him maybe change some of the real meat for me. He said it’s normal that sometimes the meat is harder. I told him mine was extremely hard and inedible, so he said he would ask the kitchen. He came back without saying anything and ignored me. I asked him what the kitchen said. He said the kitchen didn’t say anything. And that’s all, they still charge me full price without apology.

I saw the table next to me also left 1/3 of the tendon, feeling like this restaurant probably SCAMS CUSTOMERS all the time. This seems to be so normal for them.

Reply to the restaurant’s response: Honestly speaking, I am not a difficult customer. And the part of the meat in the photos is not fat. I can eat fat without a problem, and I don’t have teeth problems to chew meat. The tendon they provided was impossible to swallow. I tried to chew several times, but they were like rubber bands. Besides, I chose the part of the meat “highly recommended by your waiter”.

It’s funny instead of an apology, you tried to fight back about the fact your meat was inedible. I told the waiter I didn’t touch the rest of the tendon, and kindly asked the chef to give it a try. Obviously, no one had tried. Try it yourself first, then tell customers...

You be the judge. I wanted a small steak and the young waiter recommended the small ribeye. So I ordered it at 16 Euros because I was having other tapas dishes. When my steak was served it looked like the strip loin which was larger. I called the older manager to check if I got the correct dish. He sent the young waiter. I asked him if this was the smaller steak I had ordered and he said yes. I ate most of it but didn't finish as it was too much and tasteless. When I got the bill I was charged for the 450 gm strip loin at 30 Euros. When I told the waiter the steak was not what I ordered. He denied recommending the ribeye as they were out of it, he said he had recommended the strip loin. I said he recommended the ribeye. He apologized but I was still on the hook for the larger steak. I believe when he put the order in he was told they had no more small ribeye so they served me the strip loin. The young waiter was used as a pond for management as I got screws. On top of all that, the steak was completely tasteless. I would not go back here and others should know this type of dishonesty. Go to La Bartola which has...
