Gusto — Restaurant in Seville

Tempted by the opinions about the delicious paella, we went there for dinner. the first downside - we didn't get the menu, only a card with a QR code was on the table to download the menu from the page. however the waitress did not immediately say that this was the only form of the menu she was going to present to us and was impatient when she came to pick up the order and we were still waiting for the "normal" menu. they have this form of menu - ok, but it should be explained when indicating the table because how would someone know? additionally, someone unfamiliar with modern media may have a problem. the second minus - the service was not interested in guests, we had to wait a long time for everything. third - paella mixta very average for this price (45 euro for a dish for two) - we ate in this city for half the price of a much better quality dish in restaurants also close to the cathedral. the worst minus that influenced the assessment - an attempt to fraud at the bill. we were charged 3 euros for starters which nobody gave us! I omit the fact that I did not meet in Andalusia for adding bread and olives when ordering dinner. We didn't even get it here and it was added. the staff knew very well that they were trying to deceive us because as soon as we asked what was the item on the bill, they immediately ran to change the bill without any discussion. earlier, the couple sitting in front of us had the same problem. it's not about 3 euros, because it was only a few percent in the total bill, but on a principle. This is my favorite place in Seville. I was looking for some plant-based foods after a long day and I found them. In the following 4 days I came back everyday for what they have and offer here. Foods taste amazing, all of them. "Oasis of vegetables" looked cute and small but it was incredibly fresh and tasty with the quinoa. Not a big portion but it was just perfect. Italian burrata with Torta de Ines Rosales was my favorite, extremely presentable and satisfying. Spinach and chickpea meatballs was not a big portion but surprisingly good. It matched so well with the coconut milk and curry sauce - the freshness came from the kitchen to my table straight away and it was beyond my expectations. Vegan moussaka is really fulfilling, I enjoy the flavor so much! Not to mention the paellas, it is a must-try. The smell catches my appetite instantly. They really make great great foods and every bite will be so pleasant. They also serve amazing starters, desserts, and drinks. I would just let them choose for me and I was thinking of their Torrija, cherry liqueurs and their white wine every day after I left. Extremely friendly service and adorable people. I met Lope on my first day of arrival and he was bringing me new suggestions about foods, desserts and drinks everyday. Gusto is a must go in Seville and THEY WILL NEVER LET...

My girlfriend & I found Gusto from TripAdvisor with generally good reviews & it was near where we were staying..we wanted a paella meal.

We booked a table in advance, but after we were seated, it took ages to place our order, despite it not being massively busy at that time.

We ordered a couple of tapas starters to eat while we were waiting as paella should take about 40 minutes to arrive if cooked fresh. The starters & rabbit & chicken paella all turned up at the same time!!

I wasn't impressed as I'm a slow eater & wanted a gap between the starters & paella.

The waiter said he'd take it back & keep it hot for us, but that means that when it was brought back, it'd be really dry from the heat, so we said to leave it.

We didn't really bother with the starters as we really wanted the paella....there were quite a few bones from the rabbit in the paella, but it tasted generally quite nice.

Didn't bother with desserts.

When the bill arrived, it had a ripoff EUR 5 for the bread that we didn't touch....I asked for this to be removed which the waiter did, so this wasn't the first time this had happened!

Even if the paella was only going to take 15 minutes to make, why wasn't it timed to come well after the starters???????
