Lady Drama Indie Rock Bar — Restaurant in Seville

Me and my fiancé had the most amazing time at this place. Coming to seville was inrimidating at first, being a stranger in a strange country. Calling it a culture shock is a understatement. The warm welcome we got at this place was extremely refreshing. It is an amazing place to experience all the wonderful things spain has to offer. The 2 owners Dani and Carol are such amazing people and friends. They truly made our holiday a unforgettable one. Would love to come back to seville just to be able to continue our lovely conversations amd times with them. If you're on holiday or just passing through, make sure you visit this place at least once, even if you have to extend your trip a bit. No place shows spanish hospitality like this one. Even with the language barrier you'll have no trouble getting to know amazing people and places. If english is your first language I'd suggest talking with the doorman in the weekends. He's a wonderful guy who'd love to tell you about the many spanish customs and traditions. He's a wonderful teacher and a good friend.

Please don't pass up the chance to visit this bar and spend some time there. Our trip wouldn't have been as amazing without this bar and...

Ce soir-là, nous avions envie de changement. Découvrir Séville autrement que par ses chants de guitare andalouse et ses pas de danse flamenco. Nous recherchions quelque chose de plus proche de notre personnalité : le rock. Et nous avons trouvé ce bar au nom évocateur, Lady Drama.

Nous nous étions accoudés au bar pour commander une tequila ambrée pour lui et un martini blanc pour moi. Nous discutions, nous taquinions, repassant en mémoire ces quelques jours déjà vécus dans cette ville magnifique, amoureux plus que jamais.

Les murs étaient tapissés de légendes : Hendrix, Radiohead, Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse. Le style rock chic donnait au lieu une âme singulière. Au fond, une petite scène où jouent parfois des groupes de la région restait silencieuse ce soir-là, laissant seulement quelques tables baignées d’une lumière douce.

À l’une d’elles, un couple hollandais. Bram, santiags aux pieds, piercing au nez, joueur de cartes invétéré. À ses côtés, sa future épouse, éclatante dans son look rock & roll.

C’est alors que Bram s’est approché du comptoir et s’y est accoudé juste à côté de nous avec sa compagne. Cherchant notre regard, il nous a abordés pour nous confier qu’il avait demandé sa main deux jours plus tôt à Séville, et qu’elle avait dit oui. Pour fêter ça, il souhaitait boire un verre de champagne avec nous, deux inconnus choisis au hasard de la soirée.

Des verres levés, des sourires échangés, et un anglais plus qu’approximatif 😅 (nouvelle résolution : apprendre à le parler pour de vrai !). Déjà que notre espagnol est inexistant, nous pensions avoir quelques bases en anglais… mais la réalité nous a vite remis à notre place.

Et pourtant, la magie était là. Pas besoin de longues phrases : quelques gestes, quelques rires, un champagne pétillant de sincérité, et cette impression d’assister à une histoire qui leur appartenait.

First night in Seville. We typed in google indie bar and this was the first option (how you name your business is very important! ) so we end there and it was great! Cosy, nice and warm atmosphere, love the deco. The music it was ok, Placebo, REM, Sidonie..,.. I would rather prefer there were a live dj instead of a cd...
