A very disappointing experience, DONT come into this expecting a romantic experience if you’re a tourist or don’t speak Spanish. We were expecting romantic seating somewhere but we were instead seated next to the loud kitchen and the doors in a very unpleasant place. This was quite obviously because we were tourists as initially the waiter had given us a choice of seating but had quickly backtracked that decision and seated us by the entrance. The entire time we had to listen to chatter of people coming in and constant clatter. The same happened to a lovely couple next to us who were unfortunate enough to be seated in an even worse position with waiters passing them every couple of seconds. It became very obvious they were prioritizing better seating for local customers when many groups of people would pass us by and be let in to the main seating area inside even once, all of whom spoke Spanish. And it is not that we came last minute, we had a reservation made a month prior to the exoteric century so we should have been assigned a better table than we got. On top of that the customer service was subpar at best with not necessarily rude but very negative waiters of which many didn’t speak a word of English.
The food was mediocre at best and slightly overpriced for what came, and if you wanted to enjoy good food I would recommend something like restaurant Fluvial just 500 meters from there where we ate the night before we ate here.
Overall, if all you want is to fill up quickly you’re welcome to do so here but there are many more better restaurants around with great food and very pleasant service. This was the first time in my week in Spain that I was truly disappointed in...

Upon visiting this restaurant, I was left puzzled as to how it managed to accumulate any good ratings. A deeper look into its reviews reveals a notable number of 1-star ratings, alongside an unusually high number of 5-star reviews with no comments, raising suspicions about their authenticity.
Despite the restaurant not being busy at all, our experience with the service was frustrating. We requested olive oil three times before finally receiving a low-quality option, making us feel like they were reluctant to provide it. Additionally, the wine tasted so cheap that we chose not to drink it.
The food itself was average at best. What made matters worse was the overcharging for both the food and wine. When we pointed out that we were charged double for an item, we were told that the price couldn’t be adjusted due to their ‘computer system.’ Instead, they offered a measly 50 cents off each glass of wine, totaling a €1 reduction on our still overcharged bill, which was presented as a goodwill gesture from management.
The ambiance of the restaurant was unsettling. Despite understanding only a bit of Spanish, I could hear someone shouting about us in the kitchen, adding to the discomfort. The entire vibe was strange, and we left feeling very uncomfortable.
Overall, the combination of poor service, average food, overcharging, and an uncomfortable atmosphere makes this restaurant...
Read moreThis place had been recommended by a friend who went over a year ago. I wanted to love it, but alas this was the worst restaurant my partner and I went to during our stay. Ultimately, it was the worst restaurant experience of the year. The cava we ordered arrived warm, so we sent it back. They had no other cold cava and the clearly embarrassed waitress brought what she said was the only bottle of white wine that was cold. All went downhill with the food. The Ajoblanco was actually rancid (something they admitted later had “gone bad). We suspect their fridges had broken. So we skipped starters, although later they brought a portion of fried mackerel (decent) as an apology. We had a main of octopus in a parmentier (kind of soup) which was so think and salty that it was virtually inedible. A main of pork served with three slices of potato was perfectly fine but at over €20 was totally overpriced (could have been from a street vendor for €10). We couldn’t face dessert and left feeling nauseous after the starter and thick octopus parmentier. I presume they must have lost a good chef here; so many good reviews and a good base menu but execution was simply atrocious. Save your money and stomachs and go...
