Being Syrian myself, I'm glad to say that I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who's interested in trying Middle Eastern cuisine. The ambiance is a wonderful ode to Syria, stunning wall designs and Arabic music in the background. The best thing you could get on the menu is the chicken shawarma, either in sandwich form or the dish. Very authentic, incredibly delicious and filling. The hummus and moutabal are quite delicious as well. I strongly discourage getting the carne picada shawarma, because it's honestly a mess and it's not a thing in Syria, nor is it a thing in the Middle East. The falafel tend to be rather stale, which is fine, and I don't recommend spending the ridiculous amount of money on the tiny...

La Casa de Damasco is hidden away in the narrow streets of Toledo, just once you've had enough of strolling past shops selling swords and Spanish reconquista paraphernalia it's a sharp turn on to a dark narrow street and is at the end.

Do check the timings of the restaurant before going there as I had to wait till 7pm for it to open, it's well worth the wait especially after having walked endlessly, and if like me your diet is halal then this restaurant is a must for anyone visiting Toledo.

It's nice a clean, the decor is Moorish, the music Arabic, the service friendly with the sprinkling of clean toilets into the...

We came here three times and didn't get any food. The first time was at 19 o'clock, they said the kitchen will be open in 20 minutes, but we didn't have time that evening so we left. The next time was at 12 o'clock, where they told us the restaurant opens at 12 but not the kitchen, kitchen is open from 13. So we came back at 13 and they told us kitchen will be open from 13.30! The guy didn't react to me saying they told us 13 an hour ago and just insisted on 13.30. Very bad service, wrong information and intransparent opening hours, we are sad we couldn't try the food, it was recommended to...

Cantidades generosas a precios razonables.
