Cozy and chill place with just the right vibes to make your stay in Valencia even better. We liked it so much that we decided for it t be our go-to brunch for nearly all the days of our stay. Usually it came across 40-50€ for two people, with a full brunch, deserts, and coffee included.
NY Bagles are a bit on the pricer side, but are totally worth it for their amazing taste and freshness alone. I also took avocado toast once, which was unfortunately lacklustre compared to the bagle I had the day before (pretty much due to yolk being too runny and guacamole missing a tad bit of salt or pepper). Every cake we had was a hit in our book due to some form of novelty and obviously fresh ingredients (vegan blueberry and Kyiv cakes especially).
Servers are attentive and well mannerd, alas sometimes a bit on the reserved side (which I can't hold a grudge against as they always gave their best to put some smile on their face). I really loved the overall concept, as well as art expo by Ukranian artists -- peices not only fit the place tremendously well, but are also priced fairly in case you're interested in buying one.
Hoja La is a great place overall and we will definitely be returning prior our departure...

I adored the pothos, monstera and rubber trees giving us oxygen but also the cozy feeling that the plants were old friends leaning in to participate in the conversations. I have gluten intolerance and they had fresh tangy yogurt and granola and juices. The staff is very friendly and a joy to watch arranging flowers in the numerous pots. If I didn’t live an hour away by train I would have purchased a hanging plant or one of the lovely potted plants in woven grass baskets and an armful of Anthurium. If you need a lift, or something to nourish you and your senses , Hoja la...
Read moreSuch a shame… the place is really nice and the vibe is good but the service and prices are not on par with what you get. 10 euros for an avocado toast is a bit excessive and also for what you get. The service is very different depending who serves you. We had a nice experience with the service in the beginning but in the end we were rushed out because there were other people waiting to be seated (they don’t work with reservations btw). They apologised but at the same time it’s not very nice to be rushed out just because they want to serve another round of customers. Might work for tourists but as a local living in the area, it’s unfortunate so probably won’t come back here if I have...
