Disappointed
Let me start by saving I made a big mistake when making my reservation for the outside terrace. From looking at the pictures I expected a similar ambiance, however their outdoor terrace is just outside the restaurant on the street. If you want any decent experience do not book the “terrace” it’s just the street.
Following my subject line of “disappointed” I truly was. This restaurant was somewhere we have been wanting to try for a while. Apart from my own mistake of booking the “terrace” (street) the food was below par and the service was worse. I’ll start with the food: The pork gyozas say they are fired but they were boiled. They were still ok but I’ve had much better 5/10 The salmon nigiri wasn’t of great quality but the octopus nigiri was good (5/10) The katsu curry was ok, the portion was quite small and the meal lacked a lot of chicken. It seems like they butterflied a chicken breast, cut it in half, thinned it out more and then used 1/4 of it. Half way through the katsu the rice became hard and crunchy like it wasn’t cooked through. 3/10 The katsu brioche was very similar, I was questioning if it even had chicken in it but after the katsu curry arrived I realised that the restaurant was just rationing their meat to an extreme. Shame 3/10 The eel donburi was tiny, it was probably around 5 spoon fulls total, not only was it half cold like it had been either sotting for a while or had been poorly microwaved. 2/10 The tropical spritz, really nice but a little confusing if the were virgin or not for their price, again it feels like the restaurant is really rationing it expensive ingredients to maximise profits but they were still nice 8/10.
The service. 1/10
this was the worst part of it all.
The food took ages to come out. Waiters came to the table twice with food and drinks for a different table, it was all a bit messy. I had to wait 20 mins after my partners main came out to receive mine and when I asked for a fork from the waiter they forgot to bring it, another waiter had to bring one over. 2/10
I thought whilst dining that I would want to try this resistant again but inside, experiencing what the restaurant says is like travelling to Kioto but with the quality of food and the service I don’t think we will bother on returning. Such a shame we had...

We had a reservation at 19:30. We arrived at the restaurant at 19:15 however we were allowed to enter at 19:50. After we got our seats and ordered some drinks and food, it took a good 20 minutes before we received our drinks. It took another 30 minutes before we could order our second round of food. 20 minutes after that we ordered some more drinks and wasabi (none of the sushi comes with wasabi?).
After waiting for 30 minutes the waiter came by and asked if everything was alright. We told her that we were waiting on the drinks and wasabi, and were also ready to order some more sushi before we would like to finish with deserts.
We got informed that that was not possible and that we could not order anything anymore. They told us we immediately had to pay and leave the table (this was at 21:05) because “we need it”. We still had food in front of us that we were finishing up because we were waiting for the wasabi. We did not receive our second round of drinks after waiting for over 30 minutes (they forgot? or needed more time), could not order anymore sushi, and also no desert.
Essentially we got kicked out without any warning after being only inside for 1 hour and 5 minutes while not even having a full meal.
No mentioning of the time left. I would expect a “hey guys in 30 minutes we need this table, so if you want to have desert, you need to order it now”. The restaurant was not even fully booked, there were over 5-6 tables empty at the time we got kicked out.
Have been to a lot of restaurants, and have never had this atrocious level of service (not even in a 3 euro kebab shop at 5 in the morning). If you want to see a nice place, go here, order everything at once, and hope that it arrives before they kick you out. If you want proper sushi, I would pick a genuine Japanse place instead (that might look a little less cool).
All in all very disappointed after hearing very good stories about the manhattan and...

First the good things
Service was professional (from Jesus & Carla) Drinks, especially wine is well priced
But the food itself was a huge let down
I am not sure the kitchen has heard of wasabi, ginger or chilli
After ordering the standard tasting menu for three people we had:
Hoisin Bao......soft bao with tasteless spodge inside
Rabo de Toro Gyozas.....we should have received 6 but the kitchen only sent 4, wedidn't bother to ask for the missing 2 gyoza as they were not worth having
Nigiris.....again 2 were missing and we made the mistake of asking for the missing 2 octopus nigiri.....big mistake they were horrible
Uramakis.....at least we received all of these, but again just tasteless soggy rice with not much else
The main course of Katsu Curry and Kimchi Noodles was tiny if it was meant for 3 people, but again it was tasteless and hardly worth eating
The desserts are not worth mentioning
The restaurant it self was virtually empty, which was strange as the online booking system only allowed tables to be booked at 19:30, 19:45 or 23:00
When we left at 21:15 there was only one other table with customers
Overall a huge...
