Simply Strawberries by Jagro - Galle Fort — Restaurant in Galle

I visited Simply Strawberries by Jagro in Galle Fort expecting the same great experience as their Nuwara Eliya cafe – but sadly, it fell short.

The place is spacious and clean, and the staff were helpful. The cappuccino was good, and I liked the cute latte art.

But when it comes to the food and overall taste, it was quite disappointing. The strawberries were tiny and came in a very small portion, totally unlike the juicy, generous servings in Nuwara Eliya.

We also tried a lemon-flavored cheesecake (if I remember right) and honestly, it tasted more like a lemon puff biscuit than a proper dessert. The flavor was really off - not recommended at all.

If you're expecting the same flavor, freshness, or food taste as the Nuwara Eliya Jagro, this isn't it. You might enjoy the location with the Galle Fort vibe, but if you're coming for the food, manage your...

They have a wide variety of desserts, beverages and cakes and they all looked delicious from the looks of it. We ordered a strawberry cheesecake and a strawberry sundae.

The sundae had a considerable amount of strawberries and chocolate syrup with three scoops of vanilla ice cream.

The highlight for me was the strawberry cheesecake as it had generous amount of strawberries and strawberry jam which complemented the cheesecake. The taste of the cheesecake was simply divine and would definitely recommend it.

I recently visited Simply Strawberries by Jagro at Galle Fort and was thoroughly impressed! We ordered a large strawberry smoothie and a Jagro mesh bowl, and both were fantastic. The smoothie was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor—definitely one of the best I've had. The Jagro mesh bowl was a delightful, healthy treat, full of fresh strawberries and other tasty ingredients.
