Bit of an odd experience which can't recommend, even if everything went according to plan.
Overall very ordinary food that anyone could prepare at home with far better and more authentic flavor. Feels pretty lazily put together. Dry meat, but somehow still greasy - tough to explain, but just generally average. The beef wrap was incredibly salty, i've been drinking water all afternoon just to compensate. The chicken wrap didn't taste any kind of mexican, just bits of chicken bacon and some veges in a wrap.
It's not acceptable to wait 30 minutes+ for food like this @1pm, and especially so when you don't inform your customers. Swedes are generally patient, but you could see customers getting aggravated. People on a lunch break can't afford to take 1 1/2 hours plus to walk, queue, order, wait and eat. You're outside of peak lunch time, so there's clearly a problem, or the staffing level is lacking. Your guy in the kitchen was struggling to keep up, and I can't blame him - he was soloing it in front of about 30 people.
The food and experience isn't worth the wait, and it's not crazy cheap either. 98kr lunch is just like any casual spot in Stockholm during the week. Not worth another visit with so many options in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI need to start with giving you a little bit of context: I love Mexico, I love it's culture, I love it's food. I was lucky enough to live there for a little while and I've been longing for some good Mexican food ever since. Tacos are a fairly simple food, but that doesn't mean they are easy to get right. There's a lot that's done well at La Neta. The atmosphere, the decorations, the staff are just how they should be. Even the Tortilla is good, despite the fact that it is one of the bits that takes more effort to do right. At this point there isn't much left that can go wrong and that's why it breaks my heart every time I go for tacos at La Neta. I really wish they would do something to make the meat better. Sure, Al Pastor should be charred and grilled, but that doesn't mean it should be dry and tough. It's obvious to me that the meat they are using is too lean. What a pity to get so close to perfection, only to ruin such an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTaqueria "for real", I say yes please! I really love sloppy, fat dripping and spicy food! Nice concept with the 1 or 5 tacos and the prices is well worth the money. Don't ever set your foot in one of the regular tex-mex taco chains again, this is it if you love taco, tortilla and the other fredagsmys must haves.
Had to picked a not so good day, they were out of all the pork options. That was what I had decided for. The big tortilla and the bean quesedilla were tasty but not to die for. Probably the best Mexican in Stockholm, though there isn't too many of them. You go get the sauces yourself and don't chicken out on the spicy, the less spicy sauce were not spicy at all, not even for a regular Swede.
Love that they have Mexican sodas. The lost star is just that I expect something more to it. Will absolutely visit again, hoping to get the...
