What an amazing place! Across Geneva you will be badly surprised of how much they charge for less. This is not the case here. When I was greeted by the stuff they made sure I was comfy enough and took my order right away. The brought me also a starter salad, which was a complimentary dish by the restaurant, and my lunch arrived fairly quick. The taste of it was amazing! My congrats to the chef! Read moreWe originally stopped off here as my cousin had mentioned that it was one of the oldest eateries in Geneva. I had been badgering him all weekend to take us to places that could be considered Swiss or Genevan eateries.
All in all, the experience was good - we were catching a flight, so ordered the plate of three salads and a couple of toasted sandwiches that were served with fries and a honey dijon mustard.
The interiors were very reminiscent of a traditional pub/ gastropub. Only negative would be the cigarette smoke from the tables outside would waft into the restaurant. This may be due to visiting in Summer and the windows were open for ventilation....

Not anymore! I suspect the management has changed because the feel has also completely changed. It has lost a lot of what made it a cozy café/glacier and now there is a lot more focus on food and commercialism.
The place is packed so I guess the changes are good for business, but Geneva has lost an iconic location.
Last thing I hate are the shameful faux blackboards. They have put up TV screens that double as fake blackboards for the specials. How hard is it to write the specials on the...
