I stumbled upon Al Khaima one lunch, and it instantly felt like more than just a restaurant, it felt like a doorway into another world. The gentle aroma of spices, the soft hum of Arabic music, and the warm smiles from the staff all made me feel at home before the food even arrived.

Every bite told a story. The Mandi was perfectly fragrant, the rice light and full of flavor, and the meat so tender it fell apart with a fork. The Saltah had that comforting, home-cooked depth that’s hard to find anywhere outside Yemen.

What I loved most was how authentic everything felt. Al Khaima doesn’t try to impress with gimmicks; it wins you over with honesty, heart, and heritage. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why food is more than a meal, it’s culture, connection, and memory.

Réservation faite pour 6 personnes le lundi 5 février pour célébrer un anniversaire! Accueil sympathique type représentant vendeur et table dans la véranda, très bien. Les serviettes de table sont en papier pour le soir, je trouve un peu léger.. Par rapport aux plats, la salade verte est grande mais les feuilles laissées tel quel..énormes et sans autre, c'est representatif d'une cantine ! Le serveur demande si le tartare doit-on être très épicé et le client répond moyen et je vous le dis en mille, le tartare était nature avec la bouteille de Tabasco..il aurait été correct de nous donner un plat moyennement épicé et avec tabasco à côté mais pas nature!! Mon entrecôte avait l'air d'un steack et était plus petite qu' imaginé mais bien grillée-point positif! Les filets de perches étaient en abondance dans l'assiette, rien à signaler de ce côté. Le coquelet n'était pas très grillé, ne donnait pas envie et c'est bien loin de la rôtisserie mais il a été mangé!! Le service était lent et on avait l'impression de déranger. Le lundi il se peut que les clients viennent moins nombreux juste après le week-end mais de là à se sentir de trop...le cuisinier mangeait proche du bar..c'était loin d'être appétissant ! Aucune allusion à l'anniversaire et le ketchup puis la moutard en flacon à presser!! Magnifique!! Pour couronner le tout, j'ai vomi tripes et boyaux dans la même nuit et mon mari qui avait le même menu a été malade le lendemain!!

En gros, c'est une énorme déception et je regrette d'avoir choisi ce restaurant qui pourtant aurait tout pour plaire, bon emplacement, carte des mets de taille raisonnable qui pernet de gérer les produits mais malheureusement, le tout a bien décliné!!

Je vous conseille la concurrence si vous souhaitez ne pas payer pour être...

My wife and I arrived in Geneva after a 4 hour drive from Dijon. With no dinner plans in place made our way to town center and dined at Carnivoir. We were greeted and seated by Antonio who turned out to be master of all trades. Incredibly engaging and friendly. Spoke English very well and simple made us felt welcomed. We ordered a nice bottle of rose , a calamari appetizer to share. We then both had the special rotisserie chicken as recommended by Antonio. Excellent to say the least. We concluded with crème brûlée ( not sharing here) one...
