EXTENSIVE REVIEW:
A lot of fast food places pop in Geneva, I finally try Five Guys in Geneva (strategically place next to McDonald’s).
Fries 🍟: A bit too salty and fingers are very greasy afterwards ( compared to McDonald’s or Holy cow’s fries ) The texture was firm, even a bit raw/slightly undercooked in some fries but nothing too un pleasing.
Burgers 🍔: Unfortunately I tried the jalapeño in my cheeseburger which heavily overwhelmed the overall taste and flavor. The borders of the piece of cheese wasn’t fully melted. The 🥩 meat was well cooked and juicy. It combined well with the bread.
Conclusion🏁 Way too expensive 💰for 21,80.- ( little fries + Cheeseburger ) without even a drink 🥤 !! Went on a Thursday evening and waited 11 Minutes.
Hard to understand their position between cheap fast food McDonald’s ( 12.- full menu ) and tasty slightly more expensive burgers ( The Hamburger Foundation 22.- full menu ).
At this price, it’s hard to justify going there frequently for convenience (McDonald’s) but also hard to justify going there less often but having a great burger experience slightly more expensive ( compared to Inglewood’s, Hamburger...
Read moreFirst: I love(d) FIVE GUYS and was really happy that they came to Switzerland finally. I saw the comments on google about the food poisoning, but I thought that those were written by their competition, so I went there on 29.12. and everything was fine. On the 1.1. I went there again, but then I got a food poisoning. My friend also. We know it had to be from the burger, because that was the only thing which we both consumed. I immediately wrote to the email address which they mentioned on other postings, so they could do something about it, but until today there was no reaction. Tastewise it's still by far the best burgers, shakes and fries in any fast food restaurant for me. But if I have a 50% chance of getting food poisiong and that in Switzerland?!? No thanks... And prices are high, yes, even for Switzerland. CHF 18 for the burger only... but it was worth it for me, thing it is (was) the best and everything is fresh... but yeah, when you get food poisoning somewhere, I guess you don't really have to talk about being...
Read moreThis is the pure American style burger I have been waiting for in Geneva. I would give it 4.5 stars if possible because it is close to the Five Guys I know and love from the US but slightly different. The big pile of fries in your sack is much smaller requiring you to order a larger fry and the meat is a little leaner which makes it a little denser of patty. That said I will frequent this place many times over the coming years because when the burger craving comes sometimes only a simply burger like Five Guys produces can fill the desire. If you haven't tried Five Guys please give it a try but make sure to only get the regular cheeseburger and not the Petite in order to get the proper ratio of meat to...
