La Bergamote Genève - Salon de thé — Restaurant in Geneva

La Bergamote is a small café/restaurant located right next to the Old Town of Geneva. It's location is perfect for the summer because the street is in the shade and there is a countinous light breeze to cool you down.

The staff is extremely friendly, polite and make you feel welcome in the restaurant. The food (typical iranian food) was excellent and, regardless of the price, the portions were plenty.

Many reviews here criticise the price, and it's true that it's expensive. So I would only recommend this place if you are ready to spend around...

We went there for lunch. We had lamb skewers with rice. The minced lamb was correct, the rice had no taste and was completely dry. So the food was just right, but when I received the bill and saw that we had to pay an extra CHF15.00 for the dry rice, I was quite appalled. To pay CHF 55.00 per person for a lunch that is hardly better than a takeaway kebab with mineral water and coffee is absolutely exorbitant, even if the cost of living in Geneva...

The restaurant offers the finest coffee and the most exquisite Iranian cuisine I have ever experienced. The service is impeccable, and Mr. Arash is a remarkable individual who consistently enhances my dining experience. It is always a pleasure to interact with him. Since they started offering dinner, they have featured a fantastic daily special, each one unique and delightful. You must try it before...
