Véranda Café — Restaurant in Geneva

This was the first place I went when I first arrived in Geneva for a coffee and I am so happy that I did. The owner, Hugo, gave me incredibly helpful advice for what I should do during my visit here. It was the best introduction to the city I could have imagined. A very friendly atmosphere, the whole establishment is beautifully well taken care of.

Definitely come here. The service was so special, I won’t forget how friendly the staff was :)

Hugo was even kind enough to introduce me to the restaurant across the street for hiking recommendations! I was beyond impressed with the friendliness.

Went there for lunch, and expected something more than this. Dish of the day, simple pasta pesto and salad, very expensive for what it is and pasta was quite uncooked. Asked for steak, that was not even hot when it arrived with very oily french fries. It took 30 minutes to get the food, while the place was half empty. To end on a positive note, the service was nice and polite. I believe the place suite for quick bite, coffee or tea, but...

Ich kann all die guten Bewertungen nicht verstehen. Ich werde diese Bewertung auf deutsch verfassen, weil dies ist auch eine Landessprache der Schweiz ist. Der CHEF selbst ist nicht in der Lage in deutsch oder englisch mit seinen Kunden zu kommunizieren und macht sich über einen lächerlich wenn man kein französisch spricht. Man fühlt sich sehr unwohl und unwillkommen. Der Kaffee war bitter, das Teewasser kalt und der Kuchen trocken - und alles in allem ÜBERTEUER.
