On 26 May, an order was canceled when I could not arrive in the 5 minute window offered before they closed for the afternoon. On 28 May, they canceled an order 3 minutes after I placed the order online because it was too close to closing time. I was charged for both orders - and for three more orders in the past 2 weeks. They have not reimbursed me for the orders on 26 and 28 May, even though they said they would. In contrast, I have been reimbursed for return merchandise that went all the way to the U.S. within this time frame. I would identify the poor manager (in addition to the impolite counter staff), but the person who responds to my emails with excuses refuses to sign a name. Sushi is okay and delivery is fast (if they agree to complete the order), but customer service is shoddy, at best. We ordered 1 Salmon Box, 2 Veggie Platters, 2 Gyoza's vegetarian, 1 Yakitori Chicken, 1 California Roll, 1 Avocado Maki and 1 Sparkling Water. Believe it or not, they left out all the hot food in the order. The only things that were packed and delivered to us were the things that were ready and on display. While receiving the order, the employee (who was generally very courteous), when we began checking the order, told us we could trust him and didn't need to check out order. Unfortunately, we did trust him and did not check the order. The gyozas and the chicken yakitori were missing. The numbers provided on the website of the store were unreachable. It is almost half the order that was left out. While mentioned on our bill, the wasabi was also missed.
On the quality of the food, the vegetarian sushi barring the avocado sashimi, was terrible. The salmon sushi was average and did not taste fresh. The avocado maki was good. The california roll was terrible and definitely not worth eating.
I find it dishonest for a restaurant to leave out dishes they have charged for. I would ordinarily take responsibility for not having checked the bag there.
