Le Pain Quotidien — Restaurant in Lausanne

My girlfriend and I visited Le Pain Quotidien for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We knew the brand as there are quite a few of these restaurants in London so we thought we would give it a go.

Staff were very nice and friendly and they spoke English. The food was good and the menu was clear with vegetarian & vegan options clearly marked.

The main improvement opportunity would be around adding more vegan options which would definitely bring in more customers.

We decided to do a day trip to Lausanne and we're just arriving the station. It was early and we needed to have breakfast so we went to Le Pain Quotidien. The food looked really good, the place was cozy and the classical ambience music in the background was perfect. I went for the cappuccino, the pain aux chocolat and the selection of breads with jams and butter. Even though I didn't like some of the breads that were too sweet, everything else...

I agree with the other guests: The service is very slow knowing that the café is only half full.

The staff appear overwhelmed and disorganized.

I like the food selection and the ambience is totally fine. The location right at the train station is perfect.

The management needs to work on the processes and train the staff better. An idea would be to let guests order via QR code from their table. Maybe that gives staff...
