Stanley Steakhouse — Restaurant in Hsinchu

Best restaurant in the area, I was in hsinchu for two weeks and went there at least 6 times. I tried the chops, wings, marbled steak and rib eye, all were really great and the exact level I asked for (medium well). Portions are very large, there are 2 side dishes to each main dish. The restaurant is open to changes (I changed the rib eye steak pepper sous to the red wine sous). Prices are very convenient, considering the great quality of the meat and large portions. Staff are very nice, good service. Notice that last order is at 9pm (and closing usually at 10pm). Can also get take away. Except non-taiwanese credit cards. 10% service...

Nice dinner at Stanley Steak. The steak was medium cooked but they never asked me how they should cook it. Normally I take it medium rare but this was also fine. Good quality steak! Nice portion. I ordered the Cesar salad as appetizer but this definitely was for more than 1 person. You can choose 2 side dishes. I chose the grilled vegetables and sweet potato fries. The fries was a good portion, the grilled vegetables could be a bit more. Luckily I had the Cesar salad as appetizer. Friendly service and correct price. Busy restaurant, we arrived without a reservation and they were able to seat us on the second floor. Reservations suggested especially at the weekend.

The classic meals were great. I had the rack of lamb, it was top notch as were the grilled vegetables and salad. The fillet was excellent, tender and nicely char grilled. And the corn soup was easily the best I have had in Taiwan, the land of corn soup!
