The restaurant's ambiance exudes a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere, with tastefully adorned walls showcasing captivating images of Boston landmarks and a cozy seating arrangement that adds a touch of elegance. Read moreTLDR: the cooking ruined a great steak. The lobster was tiny. The duck liver was inedible. The chowders were pretty good. Desserts were nice.
I don’t know what’s wrong with restaurants cutting up steaks before serving. But by doing so, you’re not letting the steak rest; even if you cut it up after resting, the temperature wouldn’t be perfect anymore when served. Their solution for this is a heating stone, excuse me, what? That’s not a solution, that’s called bad cooking. But, at least they got the medium rare right, a lot of restaurant can’t even tell a medium from a medium rare, props to them.
The lobster was okay, but a bit too tiny for a Bostonian lobster. Don’t even bother with the sauce, just eat it straight or with the butter if that’s your thing.
The duck liver was an absolute disaster, felt disgusting, if I weren’t dining with others, I’d straight up spit it out. Definitely wouldn’t recommend adding a duck liver on the side.
Our designated server was unprofessional, kept looking around when introducing dishes or when communicating with us. If you’re so busy, just finish what you have to do before coming to our table. That’s what I’d call unprofessional in a restaurant like this. Other servers were...
Read moreWe came here for dinner with my parents in law, thinking about giving them some gifts and also some nice lobsters. But the food and service weren’t quite good.
We both ordered set 3, one with prime ribeye for my parents in law and one with ribeye rossini for us.
The lobsters were tiny and taste was mediocre. We came from Boston and wanted to treat them with some Boston lobsters and it ain’t good. Not sure if the Boston branch would be better since it’s not open due to renovation.
The steak we had wasn’t good. It’s served in pieces instead of a whole steak. That kind took away the heat that can help seal the temperature, juice, and the flavor.
The duck liver. That was a disaster. I’m still mad just thinking about it. It was super greasy and felt unprocessed or unseasoned. And it doesn’t go with the steak like it normally should.
Mango soda and orange soda were cool. They should add mocktail to their selection.
The server who served us wasn’t professional and had an attitude. Felt really entitled. The rest of the staff were fine.
Personally I wouldn’t...
