We spotted this cafe over the internet, and were enamoured by its beautiful interior and amazing looking coffee and food. We decided to try it out and it did not disappoint! You were first greeted and seated at a table, then you will have to order via their QR code, then go back to the entrance to make the payment. The cafe has two floors, the first floor has seats along the counter where you can observe how the baristas make your coffee, as well as a nice middle courtyard where you can see the second level. The second floor where we were seated is more dark and intimate, with plenty of seats and tables. We ordered two specialty coffees, and a seasonal tiramisu and a french toast. Both desserts were perfectly made, with very well balanced sweetness and rich flavour. The french toast especially was soft and eggy, and it pairs amazingly with the caramelized banana. The specialty coffee however was definitely the star of the show. The “spices” coffee had a hint of cinnamon, rosemary and other spices, imparting a deep and rich flavour, and had a creamy texture. The “floral” coffee was the polar opposite, light and floral, with a frothy cap and smooth texture, a very refreshing drink. This cafe definitely deserves its recognition, and with its close proximity to Taichung station, it is a must-visit for any...
Read moreThis café is absolutely beautiful—spacious, well-designed, and especially impressive with its countertop bar. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the ordering process is clear, making it very foreigner-friendly.
I was initially drawn in by the desserts displayed in the glass showcase, particularly the matcha tiramisu, which I don’t come across often. However, while it looked stunning, the flavor didn’t quite live up to its appearance. The ladyfinger was a bit dry, and the matcha taste wasn’t as pronounced as I had hoped, making the price feel somewhat unreasonable.
As for the coffee, I ordered Little Prince: Guatemala Farhannis, which had a pleasant aroma, a smooth, rounded sweetness, and a medium body—very enjoyable. 好喝! Watching the baristas brew the coffee was a great experience, and the kitchen was bustling with professionals at work, adding to the lively yet refined ambiance. I went during Christmas week and the shop decorated with lots of santies, even a take-away cup has a lid decoration, impressive with these little details.❤️💚 so adorable.
Beyond coffee and desserts, the café also offers beautifully packaged coffee beans and even branded graphic T-shirts, which I found quite stylish. Overall, it’s a great spot to visit for quality coffee and a...
Read moreThis stylish cafe is a must-try for anyone looking for fresh, flavorful food, expertly crafted coffee, and a pleasant atmosphere. The coffee was clearly top-notch, and their bread selection is a winner. Having a savory option like the duck leg alongside lighter fare like the omelette (that cheesy center? Yes, please!) and salad shows a well-rounded menu.
But the real standouts seem to be the more unique offerings. Guacamole done right can make any meal feel special, and that matcha-fig-tiramisu? Intriguing and delicious-sounding! It's clear the cafe is putting creative spins on classic dishes.
Overall: A delightful spot with something for everyone, from coffee lovers to those seeking a satisfying meal. The cafe itself is also visually appealing, with a stylish interior. And the clean bathroom is always a plus! Highly recommend checking it out!
Pro-tip: If you're going to try the matcha-fig-tiramisu (and let's be honest, you are!), maybe grab a friend to share it with....
