Stay in one of the Penthouse unit last December and find it enjoyable and comfortable stay for my family, despite a few hiccups. When we first entered the room, bathroom was leaking water. Then the water leakage got worse. But the staffs were very quick to respond by putting lots of towels to absorb the water. Second day, the staffs offered to move us to another room because major repair work needs to be done. Second room, found the toilet air ventilation had cigarette smoke smell even though it is a smoke free hotel. Other guests were smoking I think. The staffs were quick to lend us the air purifier to resolve this. To summarize: Pros: excellent staff service room has cute soft toys on tatami which they customize... very adorable :) comfortable room and beds Cons: Penthouse unit room 605 is not very safe for children 1-2yo in my opinion. The gaps between the stairs and partition on level 2 has gaps large enough for children to squeeze through and fell accidentally. I had feedbacked to the hotel. Our second room 601 is more safe for little children as the partition gaps on level 2 are way smaller. I feel the hotel should put in more thoughts for family with little children choosing the penthouse option. breakfast food can be improved with more variety
All in all, we enjoy the stay and will visit them again...
Read moreI stayed here during Taiwan’s recent COVID surge in May/June 2021. I chose this boutique hotel for its proximity to the main Taichung stations but was surprised by how deserted that area had become—this was the heart of the city some decades ago. The upside is that the neighborhood was fairly quiet, and so was my two-level room. It was a unique experience to have a room with its bathroom and living room on the first floor, and a bedroom/loft for the entire upper level. Because I didn’t get a balcony and the room only had one window that opens, the bathroom and toilet (right by the entrance) made the room smell damp and somewhat unpleasant due to the lack of ventilation; the air conditioner couldn’t create better circulation. This was really my main/only complaint (oh, and the lack of closet space). The hotel was otherwise good, with a friendly and professional staff who kept my FoodPanda and UberEats orders right by the elevator at the lobby for me to go down to collect. One of them chatted with me for some 20 minutes at one point (it turned out that we came from the same town). I wouldn’t consider this a “vacation accommodation” but it should serve those who travel to Taichung...

The location is in between taichung 2nd market and the TRA, the east to west there are plenty of small cafes and eateries - sandwich shop, coffee spot (Hausing cafe), miyaharas cafe is also nearby. Only thing to make it perfect would be closer youbike station
The hotel rooms are new, clean and estheticly pleasing. Our room had a slight open bathroom but is still very private and flow of the room is good - you dont bump into your partner as the shower and toilet and sink are separate. The noise sound proofing is good, you cannot hear anything in your room UNLESS there is someone talking very loudly on the corridor. There is an elevator in the hotel, and they have weight measuring scale and umbrellas to borrow.
The hospitality of the staff is fantastic, the younger girl was a true exception, unfortunately i couldnt get her name. She goes out of the way to make sure you are comfortable and all needs addressed.
The breakfast buffet is at their other outlet, but we had so many things to eat in taichung we...
