P&F HOTEL — Hotel in Taichung

P&F Hotel was responsible for making a gift of a trip to Taichung just perfect. This is a wonderful boutique hotel wherein the heart of Taichung. Well kept, clean, stunningly decorated boutique hotel near the Taichung Train Station. They provided a smooth and efficient check-in which is very vital for weary travellers. The staffs was super friendly and gave us a warm welcome during our stay.||||To their future & possible guest(s): ||||Location: ||If you are looking for a more relaxed city life, this is the best place to be. The location is amazingly close to the Taichung Railway Station and Yizhong Street Night Market which is just perfect for travellers alike. It's accessibility to restaurants and shops and it's close proximity to tourist attractions is definitely a spot on.||||Room: ||If you crave bright rooms and maximum daylight from your hotels, this may not be the hotel for you. However, if you’re looking for a boutique design hotel that oozes elegance and style, P&F Hotel should definitely be on your Taichung shortlist. By the way, their in-room sofa is surprisingly soft.||||Food: ||They offer complimentary 2 choices of breakfast offerings. We stayed at this hotel as a family of three. ||||I absolutely loved the design of the hotel and our family room was HUGE - we've travelled to Taiwan before (Taipei and Kaohsiung) but this is the biggest room we've had so far. There's also a nice selection of movies to choose from and the staff were super friendly! ||||As other reviewers have mentioned, the location can be hard to find. Throughout our trip, taxi drivers had some difficulty locating our hotel. However, the famous Hong Rui Zhen bakery is just across the street, and there are lots of attractions and restaurants nearby within walking distance. Also, there is only a limited choice of sweet/savory and Western/Taiwanese style breakfast options. The taste was good but nothing spectacular. ||||During our stay, there was a strange damp smell in our bathroom that seemed to come from the drainage. It wasn't too bad but was definitely noticable. Out of all the hotels we stayed at in Taipei and Taichung, this hotel was the best! Not only was the location good and centralised, the room is also clean and spacious. Beds are huge as well. We had a 2 year old baby with us so traveling around can get a bit troublesome, but the hotel is located near the places we wanted to visit so it was pretty convenient. Places like Miyahara and Yi Zhong Night Market are only 15mins away on foot. Nearby there's also a Hong Rui Zhen Bakery that we love for their sandwiches too!||||Breakfast options are good too! The porridge was delicious, and the ham & cheese toast was great! Staff were friendly and helpful, as they shared their recommendations on places to visit, and also rendered us with much assistance when our baby was sick on the first day of stay.
