Casually walked-in after looking for a cafe in the area to relax for a couple of hours and was happy to find Retro Mojo Coffee. Out of curiosity we tried the Brûléeccino which was an interesting spin on the classic cappuccino and an ice latte. For dessert we had the cinnamon roll and the choc chip waffles/croffles.
Please note: Children under the age of 12 are not permitted and I think that’s important to maintain a calm and quiet atmosphere for patrons to enjoy their coffee’s with their books, work on their emails or chat with their friends.

Read moreAbove-average Cafe experience, with two-hour time limit during weekends. Around 11am on Saturday, Plenty of students were studying on the second floor which is seemingly crowded. (With a wooden staircase leading up, It resembles an attic with raised platforms and desks of various sizes. The air quality is kind of stagnant too. The bookshelves are stuffed with mostly uninteresting old literature and magazines. So please bring your own reading material) if opt to sit in the first floor, there are a few raised chairs as well as some sofa area which is nice for some girlfriends to gather around. I always order specialty or signature pour overs and soda coffee (sparkling water with espresso shots) They also have a long list of options on the menu for the dairy based Italian coffee.
Their coffee is one of the best in Taichung City, and they provide excellent environment for people who need to stay for a while in their place.
Retro mojo has desserts like cookies you can get. Mostly made by oats or nuts. I had cheese, berries, chocolate, and matcha ones before. It’s a nice combo for coffee during the afternoons on weekends.
