The management needs to be rehauled or have their staff retrained. Weird place that prioritises larger groups over all other customers, with a messy style of service that results in an overall uncomfortable situation for everyone. We were waiting first in line only to get ignored and skipped over in favour of a larger group of customers who clearly just arrived. There was also one single diner who was already seated before us but his orders kept getting served later than the large group. Service was nearly non-existent - our ordered dishes were dumped on our table with barely a word spoken and already cooling, something I’d expect of a cheap 熱炒 eatery, not a teppanyaki restaurant. For the price paid the food also didn’t feel worth the price, while the cook on the meat was good, the flavours were lacking and as a place that claimed to be a teppanyaki meets 清粥小菜 concept, you have to pay 70NTD for a bunch of cold canned food. With the plethora of options available in Ximending, this isn’t worth your stomach space nor money spent, but if you’re looking to get your stomach filled perhaps the amount of dissatisfaction would do it.
Edit: I came here WHEN YOUR SHOP HAS JUST OPENED, when there were only three groups of people, mine included, adding up to less than a total of 8 people in the establishment seated. Using peak hour as an excuse is not it. Then there it goes, I found a strand of hair in my plate of cabbage, told the waitress, she was rather embarrassed and told me that she would notify the chef, but none action was taken by the male chef who was working at that shift (29th June 2020, 1030pm) To be honest finding a strand of hair is not very huge of a deal but as service provider, hygiene is crucial, I just don’t think I could let this slip. Chef didn’t even bother to apologize or even explaining. Funny enough, serving speed was so slow that one of the tables stormed off cause he was done with his main dish but veggies were not even served yet, I had my veggies cause I waited for close to 15 mins after my chicken thigh was served. Ordered the Couple Set and our meat dish came out cold seemingly premade before we came in... Tofu sausage dish was decent. Workers were so busy it was impossible to get their attention for 1 order of beer. Nobody spoke a bit of english even though they're located in an extremely touristy area charging tourist markup price.
But worst of all they forgot about our third dish. After waiting 15min we tracked down a worker and asked if our dish is coming out and they assured us it is. Another 5 min later we tracked down another worker who tried to convince us everything came out. We had to point at the menu outside and explain the third chicken dish never came out. At that point they started cooking it. When it was ready they were about to send it to a different table so we had to shout at the chefs that it's our dish.
