I agree that the coffee is excellent. However, while the place can be accurately described as minimalist, unfortunately this means the least expensive (and quite uncomfortable) furniture they could find, with little to nothing of visual interest to speak of. Furthermore, there is no wifi. In other words the message seems to be “hurry and drink your VERY expensive coffee so we can serve more customers. Staff were polite but not especially helpful. Even though our barista spoke English when we struggled to understand the varieties of coffee in offer (menu 100% in Taiwanese) we had to explain twice that these meant nothing to us with our limited knowledge of Mandarin. Not unkind but certainly much less customer service oriented than anywhere else we’ve been so...

The coffee menu is simple. We got 2 pour overs, both pretty good. The star was the cinnamon roll made with a Danish base. After it was reheated, the butter fragrance stood up to the cinnamon, so those looking for a punchy cinnamon roll might be disappointed.

A place reminiscent of a cozy urban cafe. Space is a bit tighter than most cafes, but not uncomfortable. Our seat was right next to the cashier, so we had the crowd noise on one side and the street outside the window on the other. This place won’t make you forget you’re still in the middle of Taipei....

If you are looking for a minimalist cafe shop, it may be a choice. There is no fancy or impressive decoration, it is just a place for you to enjoy your time with a cup of coffee.
