The place is set up as a children restaurant, but it's in the second floor. I know due to space restrictions it's often not possible to have enough space on the first floor, but it's only reachable through stairs so you need to put your strollers downstairs. They have Ikea children seats, seating in general is fine. They had a ball playing pool before but not anymore. Now a reading and kitchen stove playing area and a upper area tunnel Play system. The food is so so and not so recommendable. It's very easy and a lot of stuff not self cooked take Pizza are not self-made. To make a pizza is not such additional kitchen work. The food is pretty standard, western food, but not really super delicious, just normal. nothing outstanding except very high prices. Service is good, nothing to complain about. But the coffee Latte is horrible and worse than simple Hotel breakfast coffee Latte. My wife couldn't finish it because it was too bad and watery and bitter and without any taste. There are other better restaurant which are maybe without this child set-up but with better food. What is good and not good is their toilet, breastfeeding and diaper changing room. The diaper changing station could have those free simple paper rolls which you could roll out to cover the changing area. This could be provided, similar to Ikea diaper changing rooms (at least in Europe)
All in all can't really...
Read moreCame here while visiting Taipei with the family and thought we will bring my 7 and 3 years old here as the restaurant has a indoor play area for the kids to play in and is quite close to our hotel. The restaurant has 3 sessions a day which required to be book in advance as they will only allow walk in if the restaurant is not full. We booked into the 5.30pm to 8.00pm session and the restaurant was fairly full.
Ordered the squid ink risotto, carbonara pasta and margarita pizza. For NT280, we topped up 1 main to a set meal which consist of a drink, a soup with bun and a cake. We ordered an iced latte and a taro pudding cake to go with the main (no choice on the soup as there was only 1 choice - cream or corn soup).
Both the squid ink risotto and carbonara looked very nice but were both very bland while the soup was very diluted and tasteless. The pizza was OK while the best thing for the evening was the cake.
Service was OK with staff constantly coming to refill our water but probably not as good as the usual high standards we get in Taiwan.
The play area was also relatively small although the 2 kids enjoyed it and we stayed til 7.30pm.
Overall, Rich Daddy is a OK choice to come to if you are in the area with the right age kids. However we have been to better family entertainment restaurant with better food and better play...
Read moreI wish there’s a 0 rating option available. Average food and below average service standard. A big focus of minimum spending that’s all I can remember, menu says a min of $250 without mentioning if that was for kid or adult, which apparently $500 per adult and $250 per kid if your wondering. And I have been chased by the staff for multiple times to make orders to meet the minimum, even tho I have confirmed twice that we will reorder to meet their requirement. And funny how the altitude of the staff after your orders reach their min, you then you wouldn’t be able to find any staff to get refill of the water as they all busy with chatting and playing their phones at the back. I had to walk all the way to the back to ask for water. Anyways really uncomfortable and shocking experience. In terms of facility for kids playing, small and limited space to accommodate the amount of bookings they take per session. Good luck if you want to give a shot. Not worth the money your paid and definitely not...
