Snooze Coffee House — Restaurant in Ban Phan Thom Subdistrict

I’m rating this place a 2.5 or 2.75 stars, so rounded to 3 stars above..

The decor and tables etc. are nice and cosy Music is mostly nice and toilets are good However, the menu is quite pricey and the quality and the service just don’t follow up.. We’ve been here a few times because we liked the espresso we were having, however they unfortunately don’t deliver the same quality every time, and it’s frustrating to go back to the same place but not get any consistency...

I now presume only one guy (of the staff) knows how to brew a good espresso and therefore all the times he was not around we had a bad coffee (we’d return it and they’d brew a new one, but unfortunately just equally bad)...

The inconsistency applies to everything they serve I’m afraid;

And they also have a further couple of issues (i) quality and freshness of the ingredients, here’s a few concrete examples: e.g. the smoked salmon didn’t look or taste very fresh, the butter is not stored in the fridge (you expect it to be in a place like this; and in fact on your way to the bathroom you can see it’s stored out despite having a massive fridge etc.), the English muffin was definitely not fresh/not stored properly either...

(ii) communication The staff are super friendly! But unfortunately they’re a massive communication issue, we have tried photos, google translate, etc. but unfortunately it’s struggle with the simplest things e.g. we asked for scrambled eggs without milk, they’d confirm they understand and serve us scrambled eggs with milk, which we returned and re-explained once more, only to get served again some new scrambled eggs, still with milk.. honestly frustrating Same happened with the espresso, asked for a shorter coffee (a 6 Oz. as described in their menu) but had an even longer espresso than the first one...

The place could be a great cafe and breakfast place, but they need to address these very important issues to get there... For the time being, it’s more of a frustrating and expensive experience than anything...

So after having a meeting in kind of this area we decided to go to this new (Meaning for us ) little coffee shop In this area so it was little way out of our way but it didn’t matter because we want to explore Bangkok anyway!!

So today we decided to have a breakfast that was much cheaper than going to Central Bangkok and wow what a difference in price!!

So if you’re Staying in this area definitely try this place out this staff are really cool, Their services on point and the only thing that I would highly highly recommend them to get some hot sauce .. haha like Tabasco sauce or something for those pepper who love a spicy sauce!

I had the waffle breakfast and my friend had the bacon cream pasta spaghetti or something which is really quite good he was very full from eating that and I was really full from eating mine although I Order Extra toast because there was quite a few eggs!!🥚 🍳

All in all really good highly recommended it’s inexpensive the ambience is cool and they get you in right away!

Lots of amazing reviews but unfortunately not our experience at all. I ordered the salmon and scrambled eggs muffin and the dye from the salmon was running onto the plate - I’ve never seen this happen before. It also ran into the eggs to make for a very unappetizing image. I left more than half. Another couple beside us sent the same dish back because of eggshells. My partner ordered the baked eggs with spinach and honestly what he received 75% spinach. The eggs were sat in a pool of spinach water. It was disgusting and he didn’t eat it. After seeing how little the staff reacted to the other couple sending food back, we just paid and left. I don’t know what happened because this was unexpected from a place with such good reviews. This isn’t a cheap café so it was very disappointing. Our Italian Sodas were very nice and the staff were polite to us but otherwise this was an awful experience and we left...
