We were very tired when we arrived but happy to see a clean and nicely decorated room. We only stayed 2 nights and on our first morning there we were helped by the lovely Chandima and Bill. Breakfast was simple but we were happy to have something to eat and Chandima was very sweet and kept bringing us tea. We gave our laundry in and it was done very quickly - unfortunately I discovered some stains all over my new shirt the next day when I took it out of the laundry bag. Not sure if it's maybe just the softener but I'm hoping it will wash out. My real issue is with the lady at reception the next morning. It felt as if though we were only business to her and there was no sign of friendliness or hospitality in her manner. I asked if late checkout was available and she abruptly replied no and that they already have people waiting for the room. A simple but polite "Unfortunately it's not available," will do. When we checked out the same - no "hello" or any politeness...once she saw me she just told me I still need to pay for the laundry. I just put the money and keys on the desk and walked away. Maybe I'm expecting too much? The hotel is very pretty and has lots of potential but I will not return if I just end up feeling like a burden to deal with. I paid for a clean bed and...
Read moreThe worst hotel we stay in Thailand. If there is half star, I will choose that. We stay here for six nights, but they just offer water for the first night. And they said that is just a ‘warm welcome’, like they already did a great job. But I want to say that all the hotels we stayed ever offered water and room service every single day. If we want water, we need to pay twice the normal price. And they claim that they don’t do room service everyday, just once two days. But we pay every single day, we don’t get any discount for none room service. i don’t understand why the place like this could be highly recommended on google. And they ask us pay cash, if we pay by card, the hotel will charge 5% transaction fee. As far as I know, only the bank will charge us for transaction, how can a hotel charge more money because we by via eftops. That bath room is awful, super small. If you stay here, you will shower...
Read moreStayed here for 3 nights (September 2019). Accommodation was basic but does the job, the walk to khoa san road is an easy 10 minutes. The plus side of being a little further away is the massage parlours and street vendors are between 10-50% cheaper for not being in the heart of tourist town. Good street food starts the next block over from the hotel. Wifi is awful; barely worked at all and frequently drops out. Do not rely on it to call loved ones overseas. I was unimpressed when I came to checkout and asked the man at reception to call me a taxi to Phaya Thai station (start of the airport train line) and he told me it would cost 200 baht. Having done the trip many times I know it's only 80 baht if the taxis use the meter. I ended up walking out to the street and hailing a cab myself. Didn't appreciate him trying to overcharge me when it's the receptionists job to help their...
