We, me and my wife had stayed at " Casa Nithra Hotel, first time about a month ago, we had decided to book the room there after searching through recomended "Booking" website in the Samsen area in Bangkok We were, charged $1500 Thai Baht for a room. There were no issues then at our stay,
A few days ago arriving back from Greece to Thailand I called and, asked hotel's reception about availability of two neighbouring rooms,
I remembered receiving an offer from the manager upon leaving, saying he will give us a better price next time we book a room at the hotel again, stressing there was no need to go through "Booking", " just call the hotel directly".
We, my family, coming from a long air and transit time of 20 hours, arriving in Thailand we called the same hotel to ask for the room and price for two adjacent rooms.
Reception quoted at $ 3150 Baht, for both rooms, upon registration at the reception we were charged the price of 3150 for only one so called "deluxe" room.
I wish to stress that there was no misunderstanding about the quote as my Thai wiz* fe spoke in Thai language to hotel's reception. The quote was clearly given for both rooms for a day of intended 2 days stay.
Quite frustrated and very tired, kids crying and nervous, we accepted, trusting we could correct the price issue next day with the manager.
Up the nthe room the first serious problem appeared, I had brought various food products that needed refrigeration, I also had made sure in my first call from the airport about the availability of a fridge in the room.
Upon entering the room first thing was to place the perishables in for cooling, to our surprise after about an hour the fridge was still not cooling, actually not working at all, so we called reception about the problem, at this point we felt that we were being unfairly treated, the room was not up to what is known as "de luxe" , neither up to the price charged when compared to other 3 stars hotels in Thailand, while waiting for more than one hour for an answer about the fridge, my wife said she had it and decided to look for another hotel, she also complained about the cost of the room as too expensive for its size and quality, by the way, she is of Thai nationality, so again she called reception as they were reluctant in addressing the complain, also not giving us any option, we asked for the manager or owner to report the problem as we again felt they were being unfair and dismissing, due to the lack of attention to our only request and, their very unprofessional attitude to promptly solve the problem, it felt as we were being cheated in the correct sense of the word.
We could not relax with all this trouble going on at this time of the night, having to discuss it back and forth with reception for close to an hour over the phone.
I felt also that there was no chance of a consensus since they did not even offer to accommodate the room price to it's true value, if compared to other higher level hotels in the area at this price level, I felt it was abusive for a room which does not meet the conditions stated in their info publicity by calling it "de luxe".
When we made it a point to leave the hotel they told us we would only be refunded half of the value we had paid for.
At this point I understood we were being abused, then without any warning they brought in an old big fridge which had a loud noisy motor, certainly not appropriate for a "de luxe" hotel room. The continuous motor noise disturbing our sleep made as angrier as we had no choice anymore.
The thought of moving out was unadvised as we would have to wake up the children.
In the morning, down at the reception, while waiting for my turn next to an Italian customer checking out, we heard he was also complaining about service, it is a fact that the hotel has a nice modern appearance but at the same time unacceptable in terms of service.
I then decide to insist in the agreed price received over the...
Read moreI do not recommend this hotel! First of all: They describe themselves as a 4 star Boutique Luxury Hotel. They are not! Despite the beautiful decor, there is nothing else! There were numerous problems: We went to do the sandbox program, on the day of departure to Thailand, the hotel writes to us saying that we would have to stay in quarantine for 7 days without leaving the room. And wanting to charge us an extra fee for the extra meals we would have because of the quarantine. They didn't want to change their position even though we were showing Thai government websites that said our case was not to be quarantined. They only changed their position when we got Thai authorities to call them. As the entry rules in Thailand change a lot, this would be just a mismatch of information if it weren't for the following events The sandbox package includes all meals for one day (the day you stay in the room until the result of the pcr comes out) abs we also hired a package with breakfast included in the 7 days of stay. When we got there, they didn't remember that they had made this contract with us. I had to show the proof they sent us. All the meals they sent us were ready meals and packaged like the ones they serve on planes. All cold. They didn't offer us any options or menu. There was no possibility of choosing what to eat or talking about any dietary restrictions. The breakfast was left at the door of the room (even when the pcr had already come out negative and we were circulating) the quality was terrible and does not match the amount we paid. There were 3 leaks in the bathroom in the room. They fixed one (sanitary shower) and two others had no fix, the bathroom was constantly wet. There was no room service and and they didn't tell us about it. We found out when we found that they did not replace the towel they took from the bathroom when fixing the leak. We asked for another towel and they didn't give it to us. This was not explained in the contract with the hotel and has nothing to do with the pandemic period, given that in all other hotels we stayed in Thailand, there was housekeeping and room replacement. The service is bad, we asked for information on our first day and the attendant didn't want to let us know. Another attendant also refused to give us a document stating that we had left the hotel before the end of the contracted period.
In short, we spent two days and changed our accommodation to another hotel where we were very well taken care of. So far we don't understand what happened in Casa Nithra for them to treat us that way. We do not recommend this hotel in any way, we received very bad service, unlike all other hotels and places we were in Thailand, where we were very well received and...
Read moreVery very disappointing
We booked Casa Nithra SHA+ plus hotel with prebooked airport transfer, all meals, PCR Test etc. On arrival after 14 to 15 hours of flight we were kept waiting for 1 and hours for airport pick up. On arrival, the receptionist was rude and kept us waiting for another while so that the room could be arranged. It was already confirmed to them that there will be 5 people via multiple emails and Bia the receptionist said she hasn't received any email from us. After checking into the room we were served with cold food and the food preference was not asked. There was one vegetarian amongst us and we called the reception to ask for some warm food and plus a vegetarian meal. The receptionist Bia didn't acknowledge our request instead she was very rude asked us to go to the rooftop at 6th floor and disconnected the line. I called her a second time requesting me to connect to her manager so that I could explain to her manager the way she mistreated us and hung the phone on my face for the second time. After our swab testing we went to the ground floor to talk to her. She said according to the hotel policy they don't serve dinner after 6 pm so they gave whatever they could manage at the time. But we pre paid for the meals which she doesn't understand. When we explained that we reached hotel late because the pick up was delayed she answered that it was government who arranged it and we can talk to them if we have any problem. We also noticed that she was sweet with other people not Indian background. So I can only say that she was a racist who was rude to her and mistreated us. She behaved to us as if we were getting free treatments. I paid 500 plus euros which is a lot of money and this not the type of service I expect. The room and the room service is nice but to be honest first day in Bangkok was spoiled by this one person Bia and I'm very disappointed that she is the receptionist to this nice hotel.
I do not recommend unless you really wanted to...
