I visited Chicken embassy recently and I have to say I’m slightly confused. The restaurant advertises its self as a Spanish restaurant but there are so few authentic Spanish dishes on the menu. The most famous of all Spanish dishes being Paella but this is only served on a Friday, why? That being said I had a very nice meal.I started with boquerones, anchovies in oil and garlic and patatas bravas which had a lovely piquant sauce. For the main course I had spicy chicken served with a few potatoes and veg. This was delicious, cooked to perfection tender juicy and spicy but again I can’t honestly say there was anything Spanish about it the flavours more Indian or Moroccan. The service was excellent, friendly prompt and they speak good English. It’s a shame this restaurant has an identity crisis,I just feel they’ve missed a trick and could do so much more Spanish food.Even the name of the restaurant doesn’t tell me this is a Spanish restaurant. However, the food is really good as is the service .I had a pleasant evening and I will...
Read moreThis is honestly some of the best chicken I’ve had…probably ever! I’m not kidding. I came here twice while I was in Chiang Mai, trying the garlic half chicken the first time, and the spicy half chicken the second time. Both were amazing. They sous vide their chicken which makes it incredibly tender and juicy, and let’s the marinades penetrate the meat deeply.
The staff here are really great as well. The hostess/waitress Jiraporn is very sweet and friendly. She was easy to talk to and made me laugh. She suggested I try the tomato salad as well, and it was actually really nice for how simple it was—just tomato, white onion, and green olives. It was so good due to how ripe and fresh the tomatoes were.
If you’re craving some really good chicken, some Spanish wine, and a nice, laidback atmosphere, you should definitely try the Chicken Embassy out while...
