CHARMM : BISTRO & GALLERY — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Came here twice. Nice environment but for the price range, they need some improvements. Both times felt like a slight rip-off. More staff or service. Both times I had no one welcoming me when I came in. Also waited a long time pay cause there was no server around. Therefore there wasn’t a welcoming vibe at all. Larger amount of food. (Also was charged the same price when ordering vegetarian version, which doesn’t usually happen in Thailand or anywhere else). Water was 25 which would be normally 10. I was later told it was because it’s a restaurant/bar thus bar price for water, but then also that if I got the plastic bottled water it would have been cheaper. A decent server would inform me of these options in the first place instead of assuming the more expensive one! only rating one star because the staff was nice and the atmosphere was very calm. however the food was TERRIBLE for me. whatever you do don’t get the pizza here. i was told it would take 30 mins for it and when i finally got it, it was overcooked, flavorless and not properly cut. it tasted like cardboard with bland tomato sauce and overcooked cheese. i wanted to send it back but after waiting so long i was starving and could only stomach 2 slices before i gave up. the waiter asked me if i liked it and i told him i didn’t but i was eating it because i was hungry. he didn’t offer an apology or to try to offer something else. i was very disappointed. whatever you do don’t get the pizza. from what i’ve read the other food isn’t the best either. you’re better off going to a local food stand or in my case an...

I had an incredible experience with this restaurant, even before dining there! While I was at the bar next door, I injured my foot, and the staff from this restaurant came out to check on me, offered advice, and even let me use their washroom.

What really amazed me was what happened the next day. I had accidentally left my bags on a street bike near their restaurant. The chances of recovering them seemed slim, but when I called the restaurant the next morning, I found out that, even though my bags weren’t inside their establishment, they took responsibility and ensured the safety of my belongings—even though I hadn’t spent a penny there yet!

When I went back to collect my bags, I decided to try their food and service. It was truly exceptional! The kindness and care they showed, paired with their amazing food, makes this place unforgettable.
