I am extremely disappointed in my experience, or lack of experience here. I was so eager to take this cooking class and booked it about 2 hours before the available class start time. When we arrived at 3pm, when the class is supposed to start the instructor told us she did not know she had more students. She then took us over to the restaurant side to verify if we had booked the class and saw that we had. She told us we would not be able to attend the class because she had not set up for extra students and would need to get additional vegetables and set up the cooking area..our whole conversation between verifying we had booked the class and getting our money back took around 15 minutes. I believe if she had just gotten the extra vegetables for the 2 additional students and set up the cooking supplies she could have done that in the time it took to verify. This was supposed to be one of the highlights of my trip as I love to cook and especially love Thai food. We waisted money on a taxi to go to and from a cooking class I never got to take. I hope I find time take a cooking class while we’re out here, it just won’t be at this school since they don’t know to refresh their system to check their class size. Sooooo...

Over-all, it's an okay place to grab a bite if you are in the area. They did over the past year expand; so there is more seating area which helps. Although, the restroom could use some attention.

**Updated

Over the past several years, either my taste buds have adjusted to Thailand or the food here is just too bland. However, if you are not use to spice this might be a good place to start first. However, for me I will no longer visit, as the food is just too much catered to foreigners, instead of remaining authentic Thai Food.

Also, when receiving the bill math was completely incorrect; as seen from the photo. Perhaps, the person who created the bill was tired, not sure. However, this is just another good example that you do the math and ensure you receive proper change for everything, everywhere... No exceptions... Even if they are very nice and honest, people do make mistakes... Were all are human, right?!

This little Thai vegetarian restaurant is just THE BEST in Chiang Mai. The food is authentic thai and presented simply and in a very eye catching manner. I have had many different dishes here and each has been yum. There is a real family feel with children and grandmothers welcome along with every other age group. Support this family you will not be disappointed and may eat more than 1 main dish as you are tempted by what other customers have brought out from the kitchen. There is a steady string of repeat customers, I am one of many, and that speaks volumes for the chef's expertise and the helpfulness of the cheerful serving staff. They also run cookery classes, definitely DON'T eat before hand as, not only do you learn thai cooking skills but you eat every dish you make, of which one is usually sufficient. It is the best value for hands on skills and money here in Chiang Mai. Enjoy your visit and tell your friends of this centrally located restaurant in...

A wonderful vegetarian spot with amazing flavors I ordered the stir-fried bean sprouts with tofu, banana flower salad, and lime honey tea. The banana flower salad was the highlight — rich, flavorful, and a generous portion. Packed with cilantro and perfectly balanced nutty, sour, and sweet notes, it was absolutely delicious. I’d come back just for this salad alone. The stir-fried bean sprouts were milder, which balanced the bold salad nicely. The lime honey tea was excellent too — I came in with a sore throat and left without any discomfort. The service was handled entirely by one person, both cooking and serving. Though not very talkative, they were polite and efficient, which I really appreciated. It also makes sense they offer cooking classes, given the quality of the food. Overall, a lovely spot I’d definitely recommend. And while you’re there, visit the small temple across the street for a peaceful moment.

My husband and I are both vegan and LOVED the VEGAN Pad Thai with Peanut Sauce. So damn good! Most foodplaces in Thailand make Pad Thai too sweet, too oily and without Peanut Sauce. The Peanut sauce in May Kaidee's Pad Thai is making the difference! 🥜👏 We also love the vegan Massaman Curry! The spicyness is perfect in comparison to other foodplaces, where we can barely feel any spice in the currys. These great vegan dishes and the cozy ambience is why we could eat here every day. The prices are also really fair, hopefully they stay like that. We hope that May Kaidee's makes the smart decision to become a vegan restaurant that does not support animal exploitation anymore by removing Honey from their menu. 🙏 GO VEGAN 🌱🤍
